A sampler exploring the sonic breakthroughs of DVD Audio, I Will Play Music on My DVD Player is strangely reminiscent of the compilations released when the CD was still a developing format. The collection's six tracks are more than a little scattered, ranging from Aaron Neville's "Mary Don't You Weep" to "Rondo Allegro" from Mozart's Ein Kleine Nachtmusik to the altrock of Bird3's "Forgot Your Name." Tracks from former Toad the Wet Sprocket leader Glenn Phillps, Venice Underground and Big Phat Band round out this odd collection, which is entertaining enough but hardly stateoftheart.
