Barney's tenth anniversary is celebrated with the 2003 edition of I Love to Sing With Barney, a 1999 singalong album that features traditional children's songs, as well as educational ones and tunes about Barney and his pals. Highlights include "Our Friend Barney Had a Band," "Taking Turns," "The Baby Bop Hop," "Colors Make Me Happy," and, of course, "I Love You." Barney and friends' versions of "London Bridge," "Boom Boom, Ain't It Great to Be Crazy?," "She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain," and the "Muffin Man Medley" add a playful twist to these old favorites. While it's not quite as complete a Barney experience as Barney's Favorites, Vol. 1, I Love to Sing With Barney is still a fun album for fans of the lovable purple dinosaur.

Of course, as a doughy purple dinosaur aimed directly at the toddler market, Barney lacks considerable street credibility, but perhaps no musical entity in years has proven quite... Read more
