a few spooks & surprises, though Jennifer couldnt shut up from screaming so much, she wasnt so great. the cast is great, but i've seen scarier films, the killer is pretty SCARY especially when he chases them wit that hook!!! buy it on DVD!!!!

The man who wrote SCREAM obviously had PROM NIGHT on the brain when he had the Lois Duncan story adapted for the big screen, and some good performances are milked out from Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe (as well as Muse Watson and even Anne Heche), but I can't get into the swing of Love and Freddie's performances. They got better in the sequel, truthfully, but that was kind of a bad idea to begin with. Still, it's an alright throwback to the old days of stalk n' slash cinema, it just drags a few bits.

This movie was cool! If you liked Scream, you'll love this movie! It had a great cast. I especially loved Ryan Phillippe. He's a hottie!

The ending was stupid. These new teeny bopper horror movies just aren't as good as the 80's slasher flicks. But this movie had some suspenseful and horrific parts that managed to keep my attention.

Hi. I think that I know what you did last summer is the best scary movie I have ever seen except for I still know what you did last summer. I think that all of the actors were great. Especially Freddy Prince Jr. All of the actors were great and I am looking forward to I will always know what you did last summer.

I love this movie from the beginning to the end, most of all because i love sarah michelle gellar she rocks!!! and the story was pretty scary too, i think the idea of some crazy fisherman with a hook stalking you it´s very cool besides i think the best part is the helen shivers chase, that was great!!!.

After seeing this movie in theaters, I was scared of what might be hiding in my bedroom when I got home. I was scared of that hooked-handed man in the raincoat coming after me. I'll have you know that whenever I see a fisherman, I get an uneasy feeling.
Unfortunately, when i saw the movie for the second time I didn't get scared or jump as I had upon seeing it originally. All I found myself doing was wanting to scratch out Jennifer Love Hewitt's eyes....

Although I will give some credit for having a semi-clever plot, I still think this movie was horrible. It might be scary if you dont know whats coming and if your alone in the dark with the volume all the way up. Obviously, this movie was made because teen-horror is now the latest Hollywood 'trend', there is no other reason I can think of why anyone would make this movie. Its very predictable, most of the good parts were given away in the previews, and lets face it, Jennifer can't act, I'll admit she has her moments, and she is a cute little thing, but she 10 times more irritating the Neve. I'd take Scream any day.

The movie was OK but didn't think it was as good as Scream. I thought it might of been Julie's boyfriend or David's sister but this guy you never saw in the movie at the end, and he's the killer? That part really sucked. If Scream was a 10, I'd only give this a 5.

Kevin Williamson is so overrated.
Yes, "Scream" and "Scream 2" were brilliant but all of his other films are distinctly lacking in something, it's called originality.
The film is based on the book of the same name by Lois Duncan and is completely different, the main characters are good but cliched, the virginial Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) just doesn't cut it up against Sidney Prescott (from "Scream") and the Fisherman is a bore.
The shocks come thick and fast, but the film is shocking enough.

The reasons I first wanted to see this film were because of Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. This film was really cool. Good performances and hot young actors, except for Jennifer, sorry I can't stand her. I was sad that Ryan had to die in it because he's died already in most of his films. This movie kicks butt. Cool soundtrack too.
