Pros: Great scripture, amazing stories and filled with encouragement
Cons: Nothing that I could find
This book should be a requirement for all teenagers and young adults to read. Joshua Harris gives all teens a new way to view the dating world. He helps us to realize we need to 'embrace our singleness' and that we need to hold off on the intimacy until we are ready. Harris points out that one of the many reasons we as young adults have such hard problems in our love lives sometimes is that we try and rush what we are not ready for. He challenges us with the reasoning that if we aren't sure of ourselves at this time financially, personally, and intimately then how can we expect ourselves to become stable enough to support ourselves and a whole other person who is just as confused and lost as we are. Harris supports all of his claims with stories of people he knows who have waited for the little things in relationships we take for granted, such as a couple that waited until their wedding day for their first kiss. All along the way he gives scriptures to read further into the subject matter. I would reccomend this book to any and everyone. Go out buy a copy if you are a teen or young adult and if you are older buy a copy for someone younger in your life. They will thank you for it later. ...
