    If you're looking for a funny CD, have all the Weird Al CDs, and don't quite get into the stand ups? Twisted Radio is great. The CD is basically a christmas album... the title track, "I am Santa Claus" is a parody on Black Sabbath's "Iron Man." Mang...er 6 is like the Motel 6 commercials, with Tom Bodett?! Teddy the Red Nosed Senator is just great.... You'll laugh, I promise. Read more Less

    Rivers twists standards into bawdy, sometimes hilarious spoofs -- "Do You Hear What I Hear" becomes "Didn't I Get It Last Year?"; "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" gets mauled into "I Came Upon a Roadkill Deer" -- plus some killingly accurate band parodies. The title track is rendered to the tune of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man"; "O Little Town of Bethlehem" is performed like the Animals' "House of the Rising Sun"; and it finishes off with the AC/DC-clone track "Jingle Hell's Bells." Satire projects like this always contain their share of groaners, but the best stuff is quite funny.

Bob Rivers

The morning-show DJ for Seattle's KISW, Bob Rivers began recording Weird Al-type song parodies in 1984 with the American Comedy Network's "Breaking Up Is Hard on You (Don't Take Ma Bell Away from Me)."
