    Fuel Line Leakes

By Little Addie  Apr 24, 2009

    Pros: Cuts like a Pro

    Cons: Will NOT run

I purchased this unit a year a go from Lowes and stayed with the 2yr factory warranty. I found out through the customer service center (Very Good People) that it is my leaking fuel line. It is scheduled for repair to replace the fuel lines with a new redisigned fuel line that will not dry rot. If this is the only problem I ever have with it I will continue to do business with them, if not I will move up to the heavy duty wead wackers

    Forget the Husqvarna

By LenyF  Apr 29, 2008 | 1 out of 1 found this Husqvarna 125L String Trimmer review helpful

    Pros: Looks pretty

Cons: Can't get parts or service and it needs it.

I bought this a Lowes 1 year ago. Use it twice a week and clear brush on hillside once per year.

The coil went out. The local dealer could no longer get parts from his distributor. Local dealer cannot contact Husq for parts. He must wait for Husq to call on him. Can you believe that?

Called 1-800-Husky62 and only found two repair centers 30 and 40 miles away. And this is Los Angeles.

Given this kind of "service and support" I will never buy anything from Husqvarna. I bit the bullet and spent some bucks on an Echo 265S. I only wish I had done this last year, instead of wasting $219 on a Husqvarna.

Steer clear of this company, they won't support you.

    special tools and tuning skills

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 22, 2008 | 2 out of 2 found this Husqvarna 125L String Trimmer review helpful

    Pros: OK when it runs

Cons: Doesn't run out of the box

After doing extensive research and waiting three years to save the money, I sprung for the Husqvarna 125L String Trimmer. I went online with Norwalk Power Equipment. Avoid them as there is no communication at all. The item arrived in a timely fashion. Would not start. Then it would not run. Well, after changing fuel, adjusting idle, cleaning airfilter and gaping plug it still ran very badly. Loading up at high speed and dieing off the idle. Adjust the carb you say. Special tool time. Screw them. I banged around the tool shed and came up with an aluminum spark plug top on a long screw. Jam it over the High speed adjuster thing, and turn 1/8 turn and all is well. Why was it so difficult. You can't be trusted to adjust your own engine due to smog restrictions. Get Bent. How about the two months I have been struggling. Stick to another brand, and spend a bit more to buy it from the guy down the street.

    Overpriced throw away trimmer

By Da Ogre  May 15, 2007 | 0 out of 2 found this Husqvarna 125L String Trimmer review helpful

    Pros: Strong running, once started

Cons: Heavy gas user, can't mount a blade, heavy for string trimmer only

This trimmer is marketed as a combination string trimmer, and grass blade brush-cutter.

Comes with a "combi-guard" for running the string trimmer head, or a grass cutting blade. They even stock the grass cutting blades right next to this unit...at least they did at my local Lowe's.

I went to mount the grass cutting blade to my 125L that I bought last fall. Guess what? Waste of money. After many internet customer service tickets, phone calls & trips to real local Husqvarna dealers, I was finally told by Husqvarna that they are not going to offer the parts needed to mount a blade to this unit.

Husqvarna built this unit with a flexible internal drive shaft, just like the throw away cheap-o trimmers. Once they started the extended warranty garbage to get even more of your money, they decided not to offer a "J-handle" kit that they negelect to tell you, that you have to buy to get the rest of the parts you need to be able to mount a blade. The unit can't hold up with a blade mounted on it apparently. So why waste $200.00 or more on this over priced junk.

Go get some other cheaper throw away trimmer, or shell out the bucks for a commercial model from Stihl.
