    Outrageousily great!

This album truly has to be heard to be believed. I originally bought it on a whim, because I enjoy McFerrin and have much respect for Yo-Yo Ma, and was just too curious as to what this would sound like. Words really can't describe well known classi...cal works like Bach's "Air" and Rimsky'Korsakov's "Flight Of The Bumblebee" as interpited by Yo-Yo's cello and McFerrin's mouth. At one point out of nowhere, McFerrin bursts into an acapella noise kind of resembling electric guitar and does the well-known guitar riff from Hendrix's "Purple Haze" before regaining composure and returning to the classical material. Although it sounds like fun and games, the musicianship here is absolutely amazing. This just might be the most fun album of classical music ever recorded. Really! EVER! Read more Less
