   Of course, like many others, TFF showed as much enthusiasm in the start as later perfect-pop formula became to irresistable commercially to catch up with... From the very first beat tone of the title song to 'The Start of the Breakdown', this album makes excellent choices for a listener and darker moods for heavy dreamers. There are slight differences between the songs; 'Mad World', the group's synthesizer-led debut hit-single seems to work-out the dance side of the record just fine, sliding it into 'Pale Shelter'. Melancholic touch in 'Ideas as Opiates' makes a sudden cut to pure slowness of blues and jazz while energetic 'The Prisoner' works totally against the rest - a military overthrown beat with vocal solos and some noise along making a stunning, shivering piece of indie-pop. Dark and energetic, that's 'The Hurting'! ...
