| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews Nellie Lutcher's playful, scatting vocal style and bright, swinginflected piano approach gives her best recordings such a kinetic joyfulness that it is baffling that she isn't better known to contemporary audiences. This 27track set collects material she recorded between 1947 and 1951 for the Capitol, Liberty and Imperial labels, and includes her two early (and biggest) hits, "Hurry on Down" and "He's a Real Gone Guy," as well as her duet with Nat King Cole, "For You My Love."
