British-born character actor Howard Davies came to films in 1912 after touring in Lewis Morrison's version of Faust, in a West Coast production of Lady Audley's Secret and five years of vaudeville experience. Often playing rather pompous characters, Davies popped up in such disparate films as Davy Crockett (1916), the legendary propaganda epic Ravished Armenia (1919), and the still-extant low-budget Western Full Howard Davies Biography
