    bloody, but not overly gory, haunting and WAY overly scary. Some scenes are SO tense that you nearly have to draw your eyes away. The torture scenes were not drawn out in the theatre, hopefully the DVD has TONS of extra scenes...

    If blood and gore is what you want then House of 1000 Corpses is the movie for you. Reminiscent of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Corpses offers a new, modern take of a psychotic family that is ready to do in a group of unsuspecting college students. Rob Z...ombie's long awaited addition to the horror movie archive does not disappoint. A killer soundtrack and superb acting makes this an instant classic. Just check out Sid Haig's performance as Captain Spaulding and you'll see what I mean. Corpses is a must for any horror fan. Read more Less

    even though those who do not like horror of any kind will not like this movie, those who are horror fanatics will love it. this movie has great special effects, including shots from other horror films, and even though it is a little different, or a ...lot different than other horror films, it is not a bad different.     With the huge anticipation of this film, I am very disappointed in the manner in which distribution and public knowledge has been granted. Rob Zombies web site hasn`t been updated to allow fans the sense of urgency to finally get to see his work. I t...hink with this big delay it is only going to hurt his reviews and the film industry will criticize this film. I will still watch with an open mind to see Rob`s great respect for horror films and judge this as his first attempt at a truly great scary movie. Read more Less

    The DVD features are very cool, with cast members doing intros to the menus. The picture, color, and 5.1 are excellent. Overall great movie!!

    After reading the script of House of 1000 Corpses, I can tell that this will be 20 times better than any horror film I have ever seen. And I've seen all of the best. This film reminded me of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre because everything was blunt ...and just *BAM* happened, and once something you thought was surprising happens, then another thing just as or more vile happens. There is no cheesy "chasing-the-victim" in this movie (like Friday the 13th where Jason would often stop and let his victims run, then he would walk after them and somehow catch up to them). And when it comes to sickness and morbid, this movie has it and flaunts it several times over. Trust me, if you licked the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (not including the sequels), then you'll like this movie 10 times more. If you didn't like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, then you'll like this movie 20 times more. Arguably the best horror film ever. Read more Less
