One of my favorite 80's "shame" films!
, December 4, 2000Reviewer: dwimmerlaik1 - See all dwimmerlaik1's reviewsThis is a classic 1980's film about a guy caught in a fantastic situation beyond all rationale. John C. sends his girlfriend off to the carribbean alone. The hot pursuit begins here and doesn't end until the film is over. Good action, bad plot, impossible scenarios, and plenty of cameos by never heard from then, but hugely famous now performers. It seems like John C. reprises his role as Lane Meyer in "Better Off Dead" without the suicide angle. I love this movie on many levels. First my insatiable lust for "shame films". Those flims that makes the now huge star hang his/her head and don't want to talk about when Letterman rolls IT instead of their new film clip. Also, the fact that there are appearances by so many actors that are now ultra famous! A shamers delight. Also, it is a visully appealing film that is not totally without theatrical merits. Just a fun film! Enjoy! ...
