| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews Tracie Adkins as a Eurofunk hero? Maybe. Honky Tonk Badonkadonk is a European compilation built around various mixes of the hit song and video. While the Eurofunk mix of the tune is a stilted house mix that falls short in a big way. The other two mixes on the actual CD (the radio mix is included as a DVDRom bonus cut) include a "country club mix" which also sucks, and a 70s groove entry as well that works the best of the three, but the original blows then all away. Other tracks include the title cut from Songs About Methe album he aforementioned hit came from, "Hot Mama," and Rough Ready" from Comin On Strong," the title cuts from Chrome and More, and a small handful of others taken from various places in Adkins recording career. For a neotraditionalist country singer, Adkins certainly gets around. For hardcore fans only. - Thom Jurek, All Music Guide |
