Politics?
Pros: Good music
Cons: a little bland
I could care less about their politics. They have freedom of speech to say what theyd like. If all of you "oooo they said this and that, now we hate their music!" people really cared, you would be bitching about DAC saying nigger. If sex and politics should be left out of country music, im going to go dump 90% of my music in ditch. Stop whining, rate the CD for the music and leave it at that.

The Dixie Chicks are my favorite group in this whole wide world. They are so talented with guitars, fiddles, banjoes, and their voices. They bring me such joy, I absolutely love them. I love everything about them. I support them in every way, especially what they went through with politics!!!!
How can you flippin care about these beautiful talented women's political beliefs that much. I am fourteen years old and am about 5000 times more mature then most of you put together. They said what they believe, and instead of people embracing that, people acted like complete pyschos and freaked out like maniacs. They have more talent and charisma then most wannabes, so just leave them alone. We have freedom of speech in this country, and you are saying what you want in here, so why can't they on stage?? I cannot believe how awful you are treating these amazing artists. Get a flippin life if you are saying that these girls are bad people!!!!Was this review helpful? I love Dixie Chicks and you are all rednecks if you hate them I am 9 years old in Holland. Even though they are as commercial as that stoopid patriot country wankers traviss stipp you are goofy as all the politicians if you think a stupid statement some pregnant lady made is unpatriotic. hahaI love these girls.

Well it definitly was a foolish thing Natalie said, but let's face it: thier music is the best around. They are so talented with great voices. All of thier CDs are excellent, and I'm glad they haven't changed thier music. Despite what was said, I think they should continue with thier music careers. Definitly purchace this CD! You won't be sorry. I love it, it never gets old.

Ok who cares about the comment, the music is great! We all have said dumb things in the heat of the moment, lets just actually rate the CD not the things the artist said or did. The music is great, Traveling Soilder is another incredible song from these talanted ladies!!

I liked this CD..and recommend it to all Dixie Chick fans...I am so sick of people (country music fans in particular) ranting on and on about defending our 'rights' and freedom of speech then boycotting a group because they invoked their rights! Hypocrites of the world unite!!! Let's get it together people! Burning books, music and films you disagree with is scary! That is how Hitler started!

I was excited to purchase my first chicks c.d., but every song sounds the same..the musicianship is great, but there is not enough variety in the voices..same nasal sound all the time....and free speech is exactly what the war was about...if the chicks had lived in Iraq...a. they never would be singing together, b. they never would have all of the money and clothes that they have, c. they never would be going around the world bashing the country they grew up in and d. they would have had their little chicken heads cut off by Saddam H. That is the difference! They should consider themselves blessed.

It's very funny how now every idiot country fan (and some former Dixie Chicks fan) out there says that the Dixie Chicks' music is all of a sudden bad! Not only that, there are some things called FREE SPEECH, and uh...FREE SPEECH...and OH OH!!! FREE SPEECH.
Let's take Eminem for example who rants on a lot of political figures (like Al Gore, Dick Cheney, and even George W. Bush, among others), and yet there are no EMINEM CD breakings or any other universally dismissed events like that in which whiteys who get offended over something as simplistic as what Dixie Chicks said and feel they have to start up stupid, pointless, and time-wasting events like that.
PREDICTABLY there are readers who will read this and attack back, and probably cuss me out (GO AHEAD, I REALLY REALLY DON'T CARE) and try to justify that all the STUPID THINGS "THEY'RE" saying about me, as well as they're insults should make me feel bad and make me realize I'm wrong.
But really...FREE SPEECH is the key thing, and if Eminem, 50 Cent, Kid Rock, Michael Moore, and others can crap on political figures, there's no reason Dixie Chicks can't say what they wanna say. You could do a whole lot worse like Alec Baldwin for example...but seriously, cut the Chicks a break.
Country fans, quit being such dense, over-emotional rednecks, even you haters are giving Republicans a bad name. I bet if you white people were as much involved in listening to what the HIP-HOP world has to say about "your" kind, you'd be boycotting the RAP scene as well.
The Dixie Chicks unfortunately for you morons has sold over 6 million copies of their new album, and still sold another gold after the whole Bush comment. You all try to claim that they can't have views of their own, and you even call them Saddam's Angels. It's just sad that you don't realize how unlucky of a president Bush is when you've lost members of your own family over a war that couldn't be anymore pointless than it was.
So just SHUT THE F*** UP you retarded, braindead wanks, who can't sing, nor sell over 30 million albums, with more than 7 #1 singles, and 10 hit songs, getting constant radio play, winning Grammys, winning Country Music Awards, winning crossover appeal, etc. Just go back inside your trailors and do what you do best, shoot your guns, get drunk, and write your names with your own piss!!!Was this review helpful? Used to love their music but thier big unpatriotic mouths have truly spoiled forever any enjoyment of their music. I hope that they will one day realize that sex, religion and politics are personal views which if expoused in a public forum such as a Dixie Chicks concert can and will turn off the very public that they have worked so hard to win over. The music on this album is top rate, but I just cannot listen to them. What a huge shame.
