Though the genious of drummer Dave Clark lasted a few years, compared to the truely genious of Lennon/McCartney who are timeless, there was, for a short period no band as good as the Beatles and at times actually voted better in survey poles taken in the 60's, like the DC 5. The songs on this compilation are true POP Rock for an era of the 1960's. From Mike Smith's gritty to smooth vocals and the pounding, for the first time, yes even before Phil Specter, actually recorded heavy in POP songs, Dave Clark's fierce drums. Listen to "Bits and Pieces" and "Glad All Over". No heavy guitar lead breaks, some organ solos and sax solos, but the singing, drumming and production light it up for a new generation to listen to and believe that there was more to the "invasion" than the Beatles-and I love the Beatles!

Because is one of the true rock-n-roll love songs from this generation. It is one of the few on the same level as the Beatle's IN MY LIFE!
