A collection of greatest hits from former Grupo Límite member Alicia Villarreal from all three of her solo discs 2001's Soy Lo Prohibido, 2004's Cuando el Corazon Se Cruza, and 2006's Orgullo de Mujer, with a majority coming from the first two La Historia ... Mis Exitos acts as a good representation of what the singer does. Songs like "Tu Ausencia," "Ladrón," "Soy Tu Mujer," and "Insensible de Ti," are all included, which makes La Historia ... a very good Villarreal compilation, and a good way to introduce oneself to the artist's repertoire. [The album also contains a bonus DVD with versions of seven of the songs from the CD.]
