    Pros: Simplistic but Refreshing

    Cons: The Subtitles: it distracts from the beauty on-screen

    I saw this movie in an Imax theater. It was spectacular. These new Asian movies have become an art form in their own right. It is reminiscent of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with a more simple story and stunning visuals. This is a must see if for t...hose who love the genre.     Pros: Interesting story

    Cons: Subtitle

    Very good photography, very vibrant colors, great music that fits scenes well and what seems to be a different frame rate (in some scenes) than usual films. Beautifully shot with great locations and sets. Fighting sequences were smooth, almost ballet...-like in scene with fight between two women.     Pros: so cool

    Cons: quite confusing flow of story at first but it counts when you watch it again.

    nice picture scenes from ancient china, very artistic martial arts, very real characters, nice storyline. i really liked it so much.

    Pros: Very interesting story, couldn't predict what was going to happen next, the way you can in some of that cheap Hollywood fare

    Cons: Subtitles, but there is not a way to make subtitles better, no matter what they do subtitles suck

    Very good photography, very vibrant colors, great music that fits scenes well and what seems to be a different frame rate (in some scenes) than usual films. Beautifully shot with great locations and sets, I felt as if I was actually in medieval Chin...a (though I don't think it was called China in the timeframe of the movie). Fighting sequences were smooth, almost ballet-like in scene with fight between two women. Wire work was done in fights, it seemed to be real smooth for the actors, whereas Crouching Tiger's wire work seemed to be awkward, (actors seemed to be almost running in place at times in wire work fights/chases in Tiger but not in this one). Great story of what is revenge at first, but doesn't quite turn out that way. If you liked Crouching Tiger you may find this one very entertaining. Directors like the one who did this one should release more movies over here (even their old work). I also highly recommend "Iron Monkey" starring Donnie Yen as another movie in this sort of vein. You will find the look of this film very much like Crouching Tiger (actually looks a whole lot like Crouching Tiger, like they are part of one series but they are separate movies), Iron Monkey came out several years earlier than Crouching Tiger.
