I loved this movie!
But like someone said before me I also wasn't crying for Samantha & Kelley, I cried for Jasper he is sooo cute and what Kelley & Samantha did to him was SO mean!

I really liked this movie, but I almost didn't see it because of all the bad reviews it got. The strange thing was when I was crying, I wasn't crying for Kelley or Samantha. I was crying for Jasper. I'm warning you that you'll probably fall in love with Josh Hartnett when you see this movie because I know I did!

Its just such a bad ending. I mean Josh basicly has to watch them both get together and kiss and even CARVE THEIR NAMES! This film makes Kelley look so good! even tho he was the one that cause all this trouble. Its such a bias film....... and they don't even focus on what Jasper has to go through...... i just feel so sorry for him.

I like Josh Hartnett's acting which is natural and not histrionic. He is still young but his acting is with depth. I predict that he will win an Oscar award for best actor in the future. I also like the acting of Leelee Sobieski. Hope they will make a drama movie together.

This movie is absoultely the romance movie I have ever seen! I love the acting and how this movie makes you feel. I have watched a lot of movies but with this one I felt as if I was watching real life. Why? Because of how this movie was brought out. I felt everybody's pain and happiness in this movie. I cried like a baby when I saw this. After viewing this movie I was an emotional wreck! Even now, when I think about this movie I think what a wonderful movie and wonderful acting. And I wish I had that kind of love in my life!

I loved this film because it is a timeless romance. From beginning to end, I found it impossible not to be captivated by the storyline. The acting is first rate and the story is both heartbreaking and engrossing.

the only redeeming factor to this ridiculous movie was josh hartnett, whose character proves that nice guys do finish last. the story, which is a shameless rip off of Love Story, starring ali mcgraw and ryan o'neal, is filled with bathos, for all those who have seen the much better precedent.
unlike Love Story, there is not enough information to convince you why leelee sobieski's character, samantha, falls for kelley, played by an uncannily-like keanu reeves, chris klein after she apparently doesn't want to have anything to do with him after their first meeting. all of a sudden after he's burned down her family's restaurant, treats her family and the town like crap she falls deeply in love with him. it just doesn't make sense, except to reinforce the stereotype that nice girls invariably fall for bad boys and the good-hearted boyfriend must look on with patience.
this movie disappoints in that the story is predictable and the viewer does not care what happens to the principal characters because the script does not provide enough background about them for us to form any opinions, good or bad.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoHere on Earth
Here on Earth is well acted and well written, compassionate and compelling to the human spirit. Very real, and will touch anyone who's been in love, been hurt by love or have dealt with letting go and accepting life's uncertainties and unfairness. Will leave you to appreciate its characters and their story of love and acceptance.

Both Chris Klien and Josh Hartnet looked hot in this movie.It is sad though so get the tissues ready.But it is a sweet movie i wish guys i know had the love josh does in the movie.

I saw this movie the very first day anybody could see it. I loved it and most people would say that I liked it because I am a teenager. F*** that. I can relate to anybody if I want to. That movie is an excellent representation of a late teen early tweenties relationship. Not to mention that I blad my eyes out in the theater. It is the best movie I have ever seen in along time. You could ask all most everybody at AVHS about the movie and they would agree.
