A bullet put an end to the career and life of influential reggae producer Henry "Junjo" Lawes in June 1999. One of the founding fathers of the dancehall style, Lawes was responsible for scores of Jamaican hits by such artists as Eek-a-Mouse, Frankie Paul, John Holt, Alton Ellis, Junior Murvin, Leroy Smart, Ken Boothe, Don Carlos, and the Wailing Souls.
