next to lisense to ill and paul's boutique(best album ever) this is my favorite. I'm not really comparing the 3, this isn't nearly as good, but its still good nonetheless.

This album isn't bad, but then again nowhere near as good as ILL COMMUNICATION, CHECK YOUR HEAD or even (dare I say it) LICENSE TO ILL!!! That said, SUPER DISCO BREAKIN', THE MOVE and JUST A TEST are typically brilliant and inventive white hip-hop as the Beastie Boys do best. 3 MCS AND 1 DJ is the album's strongest track, featuring some awesome hectic mixing by Mixmaster Mike. The grinding hardcore guitar of REMOTE CONTROL also makes references to the more raucous punk influences that were more evident on earlier albums Mostly the album proves more experimental and electronic. Elsewhere the songs tend to lack focus and imagaination, and at 22 tracks in length the record does sprawl out a bit. There is a better version of BODY MOVIN' on the SOUNDS OF SCIENCE collection, remixed by Fatboy Slim - other tracks like SONG FOR THE MAN and SONG FOR JUNIOR sound a tad muted and uninspired. I'd say this album is worth buying for a couple of tunes, but if you want full on, funked up and dynamic Beastie Boys then check out their master work ILL COMMUNICATION, one of the greatest albums of the 90's.

When i went to Wisconsin i spent most my time just listening to this album through and through. Its really clever, not explicit lyrics but no preachy lyrics either just in between

"the beastie's are old", "they don't fit in with mainstream anymore", "they've peaked & are gonna go downhill", "it's not real rap". The beastie boys have come back & shut the mouth of every one of their critics & showed the world that they are still the best rap group around. Hello Nasty is the best rap album since the chronic.

these guys are really know how to make a song sound perfect. nothing on here seems lame or unoriginal, just new, innovative funky beats and instrumentals.

This cd is a natural transition from their earlier styles first propossed on Check Your Head. Ill Communication, though good, was just a refinement of Check Your Head. Hello Nasty shows their style evolving. It is one of the best cd's I have listened to. Some songs drag a little (Song For Junior in particular) but it is a great album to listen to.

If the Beasties are not the best group of all time I would like to know who is? Who has more chemistry together than these 3? This album is there best in my opinion. Although all the albums can be listened too all the way through this one is the funnest and most funky one. It keeps you grooving with every track. Except no substitutes. This is it!

this is their least inventive album. they dont break any new ground and their lyrics have no comedic truth like in ill communication. the only great track is 3 mcs and one dj. buy pauls boutique and root down and ill communication and youll feel ashamed for this cd.

I have tried and tried and I just do NOT like this album...call me a Grade A+ loser but it doesn't have any of the magic that is found in EVERY Beastie Boys album before it. I believe they have peaked, at least for this form of music. I have every B-Boys album in my car (as it's by far the best cruising music) and this one just doesn't measure up.

Beastie Boys never get old, because nobody sounds like them. This album states the simple fact that they're still old school, and still original.
