Pros: great music

I am a 52 year old grandmother. Don't particularly like rock music, but there was something about his voice and the sound that he created that really moved me. he is a very talented person.

I love this.

I love this DVD. And there is a feature that let's you only watch the music. This is a great story, and I love it. And the music is A+.

Bittersweet Treat!

This is the best movie I have seen this year! For a movie who's look and music is based on the shallow glam rock era of the seventies it is suprisingly touching and soulful. Hedwig is at times both triumphant and tragic and it is that depth and emotion that makes Hedwigs jouney, and this movie so gosh darn good! It also helps to have kick booty songs, spot on acting and inventive direction too of course. If you have ever felt like a misfit at one time in your life and enjoy the glam stylings of the Bowie era then this movie is for you!!

Great songs ("The Origin of Love") reminiscent of British glam circa 1972 (references to Bowie, Iggy, and Lou), touching animation sequences, convincing and brilliant performances by actors/actresses, this film kept me alternately laughing hysterically and tearing up. This could be my favorite rock musical so far, with it's celebration of diversity, unity, subversity, and the search for solidarity within our own hearts.
