    I loved this flick. Even though it wasn't CGI like Spider-Man or some of the newer films it was still dope nonetheless.

    This movie is grossly over-rated. The artwork is top notch, but the story line is not of the same caliber as the original. The female lead is obsessed with herself and is still in the novice acting stages. The music just plain stinks, not as much of ...a stand alone as the soundtrack from the original Heavy Metal.     Music is bad, animation passable.

    This movie is one story, not several vignettes like the first one, and the sound is mixed badly. The music is unidentifiable several short blurbs of screaming and feedback, and the 'fade to black' editing between scenes becomes tiresome. Animation ...quality is ok - a mix of computer and standard animation. 10 years ago, it would have been stunning, but with movies like Titan A.E. pushing the visual envelope, something like this can best be considered Saturday morning cartoon quality animation with nudity, graphic violence, and sexual innuendo thrown in. Julie Strain and Billy Idol do credible vocals, and there are some laugh-out-loud funny lines in the movie, but some of the sight gags are just embarrasing they're so unfunny. Would probably be a cult classic like it's predecessor had anime' not hit America, offering the same sort of content with better style. Read more Less
