Well, when i heard "Hindu Times" i was addicted. IT seems like Noel is finally gaining some relaxiation, and really starting to sober up. Liam's lyrics happen to push forth in a very upcoming sense, and im impressed by "Songbird". Although the mellowtron beats up and out on "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", it is very soothing and ballad-ish. Their Johnny Rotten rampages can still be found somewhere in the back of their fish tank with "Force of Nature". "She is Love" is an emotional song that could be made of the same calibur as "Don't Go Away". Heathen Chemistry is one underrated, and not praised. However, some of the guitar riffs hit me as crumbling, and dying out. I give this one a 4 out of 5.

The album starts off with the 'Hindu Times' what a classic Oasis moment full of rock and full of energy and Liam's voice is brilliant. Then to hear something like 'Stop Crying You're Heart Out' which makes you want to cry you know you're in for a good album. Songbird (which Liam wrote) is for the romantics at heart and 'She is Love' is the boppy love song you sing in the car. The songs in between are fantastic including 'Little By Little' this album is as good as the orginials

Cons: 'Born on a different cloud' isn't that good...THAT'S IT THOUGH!
I love this album!! It may be a lot slower than their other albums but it's definately good quality stuff. The only track that isn't that good is 'Born on a different cloud' probably coz liam wrote it though the other two songs he wrote ( 'Better man' and 'songbird' are excellent). Noel Gallagher is a genius,no doubt about it...all his songs are absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I love 'little by little' and 'she is love' Pure genius. This album is a must-have for everyone. Oasis is one of the best bands ever...if only North American radio stations would've given them a chance they would've lit a fire up under the whole world's ass.

ok this album rocks, and whats more they nowhave 4 guys in the band that r all gr8 musicians and songwriters, yes thats rite 4 guys in the same band that can write songs!. Liam really comes in to his own on this album penning 3 songs. Real standout tracks are the hindu times (top rock n roll guitar riffs), force of nature, hung in a bad place, stop crying your heart out, little by little (4 me the best song on the album), proberbly all in the mind and she is love. Not as gud as morning glory but id rate it about the same as the record sellin definitely maybe.

Oasis has always and will always be the greatest band on this planet earth.
Their songs have fantastic rock n roll melodies and the lyrics are mega... thx to Noel, one of the best, if not the best lyricist in the world.
Now, with Liam, Gem and Andy participating in the song writing process, this band has become better.
Another important thing is that, their songs are unique and original. Their songs' theme keep on changing as time goes by. As Noel said, "I've got to be feelin it, I can't write songs like Rock N' Roll Star coz then I'll be fakin it ...... I was 21 at the time, it was about life as adolecence"
Amazingly although the theme changes, the lyrics are still superb and they r still rock.....

Just a note to those hung up on Oasis still: Porcupine Tree. In Absentia. This is where rock music has been evolving for awhile, and well Oasis is evolving at a much slower rate. Heathen Chemisty is an improvement. So what?!

This was my most expected album of the year and I must confess that I was a bit disappointed when I first heared it! In this album they tryed to create a new sound but they failed in reaching the level of Morning Glory or Shoulder Of Giants, where they also tryed to innovate by using a deeper sound.
However they have some geat stuff here like The Hindu Times, Stop Crying, Andy's Quick Peep, Gem´s Hung In A Bad Place or Liam's Born On A Different Cloud.
In my opinion, the main problem of this album is that in spite of being great, we are always expecting more of an Oasis album!Was this review helpful? Yes - NoHeavenly Chemistry
Well.. let me just say that "Songbird" is as good as anything on the Beatles' or Lennon's best boats. "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" isn't even beatlesque - its PURE oasis and purely and simply one of the top 5 songs they've ever created. Oasis fans can stop crying THEIR hearts out after that filthy SOTSOG came out.. OASIS is BACK and this new record is redemption.. "She Is Love", "Born on A Different Cloud", "Little By Little","Better Man" -- heck the entire record is a WONDERFUL return to form. Enjoy it - I surely can. The songlist of OASIS is becoming more and more overwhelmingly formidable as they continue on their careers.. don't stop now. hold on... hold on... cos they ain't done yet.

I love this CD, can't stop listening to it. I feel it is 3rd best for Oasis after What's the Story...and Definitely Maybe. Great songs all over this disc (Hindu Times, Force of Nature, Stop Crying.., Little by Little, Born on a Different Cloud). If only U.S. radio/MTV would play the singles, people would realize that Oasis is back making great music! Long live the KINGS!!!

I absolutly love the new album and would stand by a reccomendation for anyone to go pick it up! The only thing I don't like is that the hidden track is a whole 1/2 hour after the last song so it messes up the random play.

Classic Oasis bangs through the speakers as Liam's powerful voice and Noel's talent seep off this album. Though much commentary has run rampant concerning post-Morning Glory Albums, Heathen Chemistry will make the critics eat their negativity. Passionate ballads, hard-rocking tunes and smashing jams compose this breath-taking CD.

While it's interesting to take "artistic journeys" with your favourite band as they create music that stretches their musical horizon-there is nothing like seeing a band like OASIS crank out a collection of tunes that feels like a return to what you fell in love with them for in the beginning. Heathen Chemistry is like that-only better, because although it has the power to evoke the familiar, you also get the sense that the journey is paying off. With their newest release we experience the benefits of a band who is not willing to churn out one album of sound-a-like tunes after another, a band who knows when being self-indulgent has artistic value and when it's just- self indulgent. Whatever roads Oasis has taken us down-whether we liked every stop along the way-with Heathen Chemistry they have found a place that is exciting because it's fresh and reassuring because for 11 songs straight we get to remember why we love this band so much and why they are without a doubt -the greatest rock and roll band of our generation.

Heathen Chemistry is one of Oasis' greatest albums to date. Being a long time Oasis fan I was dissappointed with the last couple but this surely proves Oasis' incredible talent. Songs like "Little by Little" and "She is Love" show that Oasis could do this stuff in their sleep!

I've always sort of liked Oasis. Sure, they might have been just a little too Beatlesque, but hey, the songs were fun to hum along to. However, I never could make it through an entire Oasis CD--- start to finish. Filler, throw-away songs, boring songs, kind of ruined the better moments on the CD. "Heathen Chemistry" however, is by far their best effort. The production on rockers like "Hung in a Bad Place" and "Hindu Times" is superior to the overly distorted sound of their previous harder edge efforts. The ballad, "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" is a lush, passionate, Top 40 hit that will sell this band lots of CD's. The mid - tempo songs ("Songbird","She is Love","Force of Nature") are all masterfully crafted songs with irresistable hooks. The Beatles influence is stamped all over this CD. However, Oasis has somehow adopted the Beatles sound and made theirs. If you like the Beatles, you will like the CD (even if you don't want to admit it). If you don't like Oasis, this is the CD you need to buy --- you'll probably find yourself listening to it fairly often. Oasis fans (and their many future fans that will be hooked by this CD) will, no doubt love this effort. Oasis has musically and artistically hit their peak with this surprise gem!
