Oasis is an awesome band, as a band they're starting to mature to near-Beatle music. I don't have to even listen to this music more than twice to know that this is d*mn good stuff (like one of my other favourites, Tool). The new-age British music... of pure rok n rol attraction has faded for them a bit and passed onto bands like Travis, Coldplay, and the Black Rebel MotorCycle Club. As well as The Hives (Swedish), The White Stripes), and The Stokes (American) {Have you heard any of these over there???!!! (, Mr(s) they suck(s), Have you even really listened to the Beatles? there is much more substance in one of the songs than in entire hours of the CreedMudVayneMushroomhead

CrueKiss bullsh*t that so called rock stations} They are so awesome, I dunno how they'll fare in the long run, but for the moment they are the new representatives of true rock and roll (as was Oasis with Definitely Maybe), not the Linkin Park(s), Papa Roach(es) (tho, I heard some of they're newest album on MTV|2, the single sucks and they're beginning to lose their punk roots a little, but some of it was pretty cool... oh, wait, I'm off subject), and 'nu' metal bullsh*t)) These bands may not have the substance lyrically yet, but relationship songs work just as well when you have that Godly guitar noise once known as Rock 'n' Roll. Some of Oasis's songs are starting to sound rather McCartney-esque and even bordering on Lennon (which is what Liam (lead singer) Gallager's son is named) and early Led Zeppelin ('Rock and Roll' and 'Communication Breakdown' vein) status. What they have now is drugfree family guys who know how to use their talents and they're only getting better. These people are not just making fu''ed up sounds with distortions, they actually know how to play and play well. Three of the five members are actually writing the songs now, instead of complete pennings by Noel Gallager (lead guitarists and Liam's older brother). I would venture to say that the brothers Gallager should co-write songs in the future, but their relationship is has reached legendary status of not cooperating together. Liam : We're th'best fu**ing ban'd in th'world, an'we will be'till I say otherwise. 'Simple as dat. Noel : If 'e [Liam] tol' me now that 'e was actually a woman his whole life, it would fu''ing surprise. It really wouldn't. Well, when i heard "Hindu Times" i was addicted. IT seems like Noel is finally gaining some relaxiation, and really starting to sober up. Liam's lyrics happen to push forth in a very upcoming sense, and im impressed by "Songbird&qu...ot;. Although the mellowtron beats up and out on "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", it is very soothing and ballad-ish. Their Johnny Rotten rampages can still be found somewhere in the back of their fish tank with "Force of Nature". "She is Love" is an emotional song that could be made of the same calibur as "Don't Go Away". Heathen Chemistry is one underrated, and not praised. However, some of the guitar riffs hit me as crumbling, and dying out. I give this one a 4 out of 5. Read more Less

The album starts off with the 'Hindu Times' what a classic Oasis moment full of rock and full of energy and Liam's voice is brilliant. Then to hear something like 'Stop Crying You're Heart Out' which makes you want to cry you ...know you're in for a good album. Songbird (which Liam wrote) is for the romantics at heart and 'She is Love' is the boppy love song you sing in the car. Awesome stuff

Cons: 'Born on a different cloud' isn't that good...THAT'S IT THOUGH!

I love this album!! It may be a lot slower than their other albums but it's definately good quality stuff. The only track that isn't that good is 'Born on a different cloud' probably coz liam wrote it though the other two songs he wro...te ( 'Better man' and 'songbird' are excellent). Noel Gallagher is a genius,no doubt about it...all his songs are absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I love 'little by little' and 'she is love' Pure genius. This album is a must-have for everyone. Oasis is one of the best bands ever...if only North American radio stations would've given them a chance they would've lit a fire up under the whole world's ass. Read more Less

ok this album rocks, and whats more they nowhave 4 guys in the band that r all gr8 musicians and songwriters, yes thats rite 4 guys in the same band that can write songs!. Liam really comes in to his own on this album penning 3 songs. Real standout t...racks are the hindu times (top rock n roll guitar riffs), force of nature, hung in a bad place, stop crying your heart out, little by little (4 me the best song on the album), proberbly all in the mind and she is love. Not as gud as morning glory but id rate it about the same as the record sellin definitely maybe. Read more Less
