Californiabased electronic pop trio Hearts of Palm U.K. make '80sinfluenced new wave and indie pop. Formed around 2003 by childhood friends Erica Elektra (vocals, keyboards, and guitars) and Billy Kaye (keyboards and cello), the duo played the 2007 CMJ Music Marathon. Subsequently, they added Frankie Rose (percussion and keyboards) and began work on a studio album. Hearts of Palm U.K.'s fulllength debut, For Life, was expected to drop in 2008.
