    Pros: JK Rowling's best work yet...

    Cons: Not all questions answered, even if they are minor ones.

    As I said, this is JK Rowling's best work yet. She seemlessly tied up all the loose ends from the previous books using even those minor clues that you tend to forget about. I think my greatest disappointment was how abruptly it ended without find...ing out anything that happened afterwards until 19 years later. There were several questions that I had that were left unanswered, even if they were minor. It would have been really cool to find out if Harry did indeed become an Auror (which was a big deal back in Book 5) as an example. All in all, a very good read and well worth the money and time.     Pros: Action Packed

    Cons: Character Deaths & Epilogue

    A good tie up to almost all the loose-ends. I must say that JK Rowling really did save the best for last. There's fast paced action, emotions & everything which makes it a cool read. The romance part of the story is something that I can't acc...ept (yes, the R/Hr & H/G ship) because I still feel that it's just too sudden & they're like forced to happen in order to tell a story. As for the character deaths, Percy should have died instead. His about u-turn really gives me a shock. The most emotional part of the story is where Harry dug the grave, his grief is so real that you can actually feel it. The epilogue is a letdown though, I really wish to know how all the others fare rather than concentrate on the ships. Overall it's an exciting read & thanks JK for the fantastic journey!     Pros: Satisfying ending

    Cons: Kind of long-winded and rambling at times

    First off, this is a good book. And, yes, I did read it in about a day. But, it wasn't really a "I just can't put it down" book. I wanted to make sure I got it read in case someone on the radio or at work talked about it and ruined ...it for me. The first 5 or 6 chapters continued from HBP left off, and that held my interest. The middle portion of the book, other than a couple of small incidents really didn't move the plot along all that much. The last couple hundred pages were fantastic however. A good chunk of the book centers around the task Dumbledore gave Ron, Hermione, and Harry, and really, nothing much happens for a good chunk of time. There area a couple run-ins with Death Eaters, and you do get a bunch of background info on a number of characters, but I have to say I struggled through a couple hundred pages there. Read more Less

    Pros: We now know the full story.

    Cons: Its over.

    As I finished the last few pages, I sighed with relief, satisfied at last. I was deeply worried, especially over th passed few days, that I would walk away dissapointed, that it was too good to be true. However, J.K. Rowling has proven that she neve...r dissapoints, and she did a hell of a job tying up the loose ends, although with a book of so many characters, we can't expect all the minor anwers be questioned. Right now, I prepare to reread several chapters, mainly due to the quick and none stop flow of information that is recieved, along with shock, awe, joy, and sadness, in the last few chapters. It is almost overwhelming, but, not in a negative way. Thank you J.K. Rowling, for finding a suitable ending to a story that has enthralled millions worldwide, with its magic, riddles, mysteries, tragedies, and the "Boy Who Lived." Read more Less

    Pros: The writing is fantastic, kept me wanting more all day long.

    Cons: It is the last of a wonderful set of books

    The book was amazing. It tied up all loose ends, it was exciting, had great scenes of compassion and love, the sad portions were definitely sad. I love this book, it is very complex but very easy to understand. It is sad that it is the last book, but... you couldn't have asked for a better book. I highly recommend everyone read the series and this wonderful book. Read more Less

    The seventh and final book of the Harry Potter series is absolutely brilliant. The twists that JK Rowling throws at you always keeps you on your toes. This book also answers everything that you were questioning in the earlier books. It ties up all th...e loose ends(even the loose ends you forgot were there) and leaves the reader with a sense of finality. The ending of the book is fabulous and I finished reading it thinking: "JK Rowling is a genious!" I would recomend this book to anyone who has read her previous books, and if you haven't read those, I would recomend reading them and then reading the seventh book because it is absolutely brilliant.     Pros: The battle between The-Boy-Who-Lived and You-Know-Who...

    Cons: "The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well."

    What I can say!? A wonderful book!!! I really love this final book because the author described the psychological changes of the trio Harry, Hermione and Ron so deeply. I'm especially impressed when reading the lines about what and how The-Boy-Wh...o-Lived felt before challenges he had to face. He had changed, of course, from a boy who was protected by his mother's sacrifice to a hero who dared to die to kill the Dark Lord. And as Dumbledore said, Harry Potter is the best worthy master of the Deathly Hallows. During the book, Harry never ever thought of using the Killing Curse to murder any of his enemies; the Expelliar is one of his features, and I admire his humanity. He'll surely become a good Auror. Just one thing makes me quite disappointed. I always thought the care that Hermione'd given to Harry since they met would develop more highly than a friendship... It should have been a love. Uhm, but that's OK. In general, I just wanna say that this set of book is really a masterpiece. I love it!!! Read more Less

    Pros: Excellently-written, with mystery and suspense that have you gripping your seat until the very end

    Cons: The climax of the story seems to come late in the book, and details mentioned (and likely forgotten) from preceding books might bring a small amount of confusion to the reader.

    Hogwarts headmistress J.K. Rowling rounds out the brilliant series with a heart-wrenching, mind-boggling finale that both closes gaping doors and blasts open new ones. The highly-anticipated novel that flew off shelves upon its late July release give...s light to the treacherous, secret-telling pasts of some of the series' central characters and brings a pattern of unexpected deaths that all formulate the halcyon, if not surprising, conclusion. Though some developments in Hallows that required careful attention in the previous novels may occasionally force the reader to go back a chapter (or book) or two, Potter fanatics will find such details creating funny and relaxing situations, such as Hermione Granger's efforts to free house-elves or gamekeeper Rubeus Hagrid's housing of the giant Grawp. This has been the only book with which I've had the utmost urge to cry over one page, and die from laughter over the very next. Compared with Hallows' twists, turns and way-too-close-for-comfort encounters, Potter's preceding adventures look like he was carrying for Flobberworms. The never-ending chase by He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named&
    #39;s Death Eaters is relentless and nail-biting, and sudden character unions and separations only add to the suspense. Rowling has taken the world of Harry Potter to its fullest potential with Hallows, telling concisely of both sides of a war of good against evil. Only until the very last page was read in completion was I convinced of who was truly victorious in this battle. But even when every last word encased within the book's hard shell had been seen and understood by myself, it still made me question a lot of things about the world that Rowling created, things meant to have no answer. And even the questioning of truly real things may arise, for Rowling's perspective of blood-spilling, though purposive, conflict is quite accurate in our current times.     Pros: It was amazing and captivating.

    Cons: It was SO long :) but whos complaining

    OH my gosh, so I must say this was definitely the best book that JK Rowling has written. The way she used the other books not only to compare things, but to show Harry's feelings especially when he thought he was on his way to die. I thought that... the relationship between Ron and Hermione was incredible. AND SNAPE! Oh my gosh, I never thought I would say this, but I love Snape. It was absolutely crazy! It kind of made me feel real sorry for him. I would definitely recommend this book to ANYONE and EVERYONE!!!! I have one little problem. I am a little confused when they say Lupins son was on the train to hogwarts. Well, if it really was nineteen years later, then Ted would have been nineteen, at least... so shouldn't he no longer be at hogwarts??? I do not think I have ever read a book where the ending made me so happy. I don't think anyone expected Hermione, Ron, Harry and Ginny to all live. I thought that atleast one of them would die making it a tearjerker.... but none of them did and the ending was perfect. She could not have done it any better! :) I am completely satisfied!     Pros: What isn't there to lie?

    Cons: Dreadful Epilogue

    The whole book was great, but a lot of rumors were true, and I always loved J.K. Rowling's genious ideas that were unpredictable. R.A.B being Regulas Black, Harry being a Horcrux (didn't J.K say that was a lie??) and such. Some things she pro...mised us weren't true- she said there was a meaning with Harry's eyes inheritated from his mother, she said we'd find out what Dudley saw when he was attacked by dementors and such. The epilogue was terrible- what jobs did Harry and the others have? What did they mean about Ted coming over 4 nights a week, Harry was his godfather! Doesn't that mean he'd get custody? What happened to characters such as George Weasley, who lost his brother? To Kreacher? To Luna Lovegood? In my opinion, J.K. Rowling should post another epilogue online in about a month, by then everyone will have read it, so it's not a spoiler. Read more Less
