    CAMARILLO, Calif. - Ted McMichael, a founder of the popular 1940s quartet the Merry Macs, died Feb. 27, 2001 of pneumonia. He was 92. The Merry Macs, so named because all of the members had last names beginning with Mc, had a number of Top 10 hits in... the 1940s, including ``Mairzy Doats,'' ``Praisethe Lord and Pass the Ammunition'' and ``Sentimental Journey.'' The group's music was featured in several films, including ``Love Thy Neighbor'' with Jack Benny and Fred Allen, ``Ride 'Em Cowboy'' with Abbott and Costello, and ``SanAntonio Rose,'' featuring Lon Chaney Jr. and Eve Arden.
