    Well, we've all heard environmental albums before. Roger Nichols spent a good part of his life in search of the perfect surf recording, first in finding the equipment to record it, then in finding the location to record. What came out of this is an album that's a mixture of a 63-minute slice of beautiful Hawaiian surf and music that's structured along psychoacoustic principles (and, yes, it works -- watch your body follow along with a pitch bend). The music is fascinating, the surf is hypnotic.
