    NEO-Blue: Virgin PDA User

I wanted to get away from my bulky paper planner and into something that could keep track of all my phone numbers, addresses, appointments and homework assignments. As a full time working adult and night time grad school student, I was looking for s...omething that had all the essentials for my everyday tasks, as well as a few extra goodies thrown in. The Handspring Neo fit my bill. I purchased it directly from Handspring for $169.99 which included free shipping and free carrying case. I played with a variety of different PDA's in the under $200 price range, at Best Buy; and liked the Handspring Neo for it's user friendly functions and suiting my needs. On the downside, the screen sucks in fingerprints, and the case is somewhat slippery. I added a Wright Write to the screen to protect against scratches and that seems to work fine. If you're looking for a good PDA that runs all the industry standard PDA software, has some neat expandable add on's(ie: GPS, Cell Phone, expansion slots, camera, etc), then this is the B&W PDA for you. I looked at all of the PDA's on the market and I just could not make up my mind. I saw the NEO and the low price. It looked and operated like the pilot so I bought it. Now that I am using it I have no idea how I got along without it for so long.

    Handspring Visor Neo

This affordable entry-level, Palm-based unit has only 8MB of memory, but provides all the features a basic PDA needs. Some Handspring PDAs come with a leather slip case, but the Neo comes with only an awkward snap-on plastic cover. A detachable flip-over or side-attached cover like the ones on many other models would be far more welcome. Read more

    Handspring Visor Neo Review

The Neo is a decent low-end model. At $200 it is a bit more expensive than its competition, though. If you aren't interested in some of the new bells and whistles, the Visor Deluxe is just $130 now. However, those bells and whistles are nice and so is the faster processor and cool semi-transparent casing. Read more
