While this may not sound like the most exciting premise for a documentary, you will be amazed how emotionally invested you become in the trials and tribulations of these interesting (and very funny) everyday people. With this film documenting the 1995 contest, you will come away wishing Bindler made a documentary about the contest every year.

    Pros: I'm in the movie. Enough said.

    Ok so I may not be the most unbiased reviewer but I lived it and can tell you that it was the most memorable experience of my high school career. Every contestant had their own story and history.     The Funniest Documentary Ever Made

    This movie is one of the best movies I have ever seen. You become attached to the characters and you end up rooting for one over the other. You also end up hating some of the characters, namely Norma. My favorite is Benny. Nobody really likes him be...cause he won the contest two years before but, he is the most entertaining character in this movie. The other characters are very vivid and real and they show just how backwards East Texas can be, or is. This shows that truth is definately stranger than fiction. Definately one of my Top 20 movies of all time. It was also one of the most enjoyable expriences I have ever had at a movie theater. Read more Less
