Classic. That is really all there is to say to this sequel to one of the greatest horror movies ever made. If for some reason you haven't seen Halloween and Halloween II then you should stab yourself in the head with a big kitchen knife... more than once... There are eight of these movies out and another one on the way so spend the next chapter of your life watching Michael Myers terrorize the streets of Haddonfield.
I love the Halloween movies well except Halloween 3 and Resurrection!!!This one goes back to the tried and true hack and slash I loved it!!!God the first time i saw it was on cable and I couldn't believe how fast my heart was racing!!!It is very scary, really gross, and full of shocks and surprises!!!Michael comes home and wins this time with this entry anyway!!!It also helps that they have Curtis again and thankfully she survives!!!!Resurrecton on the other hand:hint*fans of Curtis will be very pissed off*
This is one of the few sequals that we can say it is almost better than the first movie. The erriness of the hospital gives a incredible set for the conclusion of Micheal and Lorrie. This is the reason I will never work in a hospital.

This is the perfect scary movie. Buy this and be prepared for a fantastic experance in fear. Each Halloween me and my friends prepare then sit and watch Halloween 1&2. And every year it gets more entertaining and more scary. Lock the doors, bar the windows, turn off the lights, and crank up the sound. This is the ultimate horror Halloween movie for any audiance.

This is the second half of the "real" Michael Myers story and it kicked @$$ just as much as the first one did!! Halloween 1 & 2 are the only ones worthy of watching repeatedly. True horror at it's best!!
I liked this one.. but some of the bloody parts were just a little gross.. okay not a little A LOT! but other than the blood and gore it was really good!
The movie was great, but the ending to the movie was pretty bad.
i think this movie is almost up there with texas chainsaw massacre and children of the corn.halloween 2.is definitely one of the best horror movies ever.
Halloween 2 had similar camera direction as 1 with the point of view of Michael, however, the scares were the same. The best scare in the film was when on a security camera, they show Michael walking into a room and closing the door. A nurse is seen going down the hallway and another person appears behind her. The film relies too much on blood. However, we find out Jamie is Michael's sister. Otherwise, the film was nothing new.
This one was a good continuation of the first. i liked the change of scenery into the hospital. you cant kill michael. also, if you're thinking about renting halloween 3 dont because michael isnt in it and it is a piece of
One of the best horror movies ever! Tough, nerveous, horrofying situation makes an unforgettable effect! And music, by the way, too. And not bad special effects for 1981!
This is the only Halloween sequal that is worth purchasing on DVD. It was very hard for Rick Rosenthal to top the original's atmosphere and style. I however concider it a good effort. This is the only sequal that Carpenter accepts after his masterpiece, and I very much agree.
I dont know why this DVD exists, the previous realese its better than the new one, the new doesnt have anything¡¡¡¡¡
I understand that it's hard to come up with the perfect sequel to the masterpiece of modern terror, but HALLOWEEN II still respects the original and picks up with Michael following Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee still screaming bloody murder, which she might be doing literally) to her rest zone at a hospital dispatching more teenage meat while Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasance still fun to watch) knows Michael will never die and attempts to put him away for good. Just a little up on the gore and a little loose gripping, but I still enjoyed it (especially that funky new Halloween theme).
Hallowe'en 2 was very good. The way they showed the ending of hallowe'en at the beginning of Hallowe'en 2.
Keep Up the good work John Carpenter
Of all of the sequels to Halloween, this is one of the best! Buy it today!
This is a great follow up to HALLOWEEN, it was kinda scary, suspensfull, and a great sequel.
This movie never lives up to the billing that it had when it came out in 1981. However when you are asked to follow up a classic like Halloween it is very difficult to do. With that in mind I think that this movie is a great follow up to the original and is the best sequel in the Halloween series. Also, I feel that it is one of the better sequels to any horror series withing the horror genre. I wish the DVD had more special features though. The video versions do not do this film the justice that it deserves. It is an excellent film even though the violence level is increased greatly from the original.
Holloween 2 is a fantastic sequal that follows its original. It takes you right up to the part Michael Myers gets shot and falls off the balcony. Holloween 2 keeps you on your toes, while you desperately tries to warn the actresses and actors of Michael Myers' existance(if you really care for the lives of the characters). If you don't and you are like me, you hope and wait for the gruesome style of killing Michael Myers would conflict upon their pathetic lives. Holloween 2 is a must see movie. I recommend that if you didn't see it yet that you first watch part 1 then 2 in order.
THE FIRST FIRST HALLOWEEN LEAVES A QUESTION IN THE AIR, BUT ALL QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED IN THIS TERRIFYING SEQUEL.YOUR KEPT ON THE EDGE OF THE SEAT THE WHOLE TIME WITH THIS FAST PACE HORROR MARVEL . THE STORY IS CENTERED AROUND A DARK COUNTY HOSPITAL ,A FRIGHTENED TEENAGE GIRL, AND A MANIACAL KILLER . A MUST SEE!!!!!!!!!!!
This one is better than the first! It's AMAZING! If you got the first Halloween then you definitely need this one too. The first one isn't complete without it.
this one is good! I love the part where he killed that nurce with the big brests
This movie was the best in the series. Laurie the sole survivor, goes to a hospital where she meets Jimmy an ambulance driver for the hospital. Dr.Loomis thimks Michael is alive and tries to find him and kill him. Michael kills Alice a girl who Michael breaks into her house and stabbs her in the neck. Then he gets to the hospital and kills these people in this order:Mr.Garrett the secruity guard,Bud the other ambulance driver,Karen a nurse,Dr.Mixter,Janice a nurse assistant,Mrs.Alves the head nurse,Jill a nurse, and a Marshall who gets his throat slashed. Jimmy falls in love with Laurie and Jimmy finds Mrs.Alves blood and gets knocked out. Laurie hides in a car and Jimmy comes in and passes out once again! Then Dr.Loomis goes to the hospital and rescues Laurie but he blows himself up with Michael. Then Laurie gets on the ambulance and gets scared by Jimmy who is all wrapped up. On the movie version, they dont show him in the ambulance with Laurie, but he still survives and gets rushed to another hospital. Doesnt show it in the movie, but was an epilouge in the script!
I really like this movie. It was the 1st one I saw but is my thrid favorite in the series. Jamie Lee Curtis had a better role in this then in Halloween.
Rick Rosenthal's direction of Halloween 2 is slick, smart, and visually disturbing. He obviously studied the orginal, and John Carpenter's direction closely. Unfortunately, he lacked the benefits of having a strong supporting cast, and a frightening plot. Halloween was a prototype of the horror genre, Halloween 2 is merely convention. It tries to substitute the fear of the original with gore, something Friday the 13th executed with far better results. Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasance both display situational brilliance, but on a whole, the film fails to live up to its predecessor. The continuation idea worked to its benefit, but the film fails to generate interest until a bravura finale. Halloween 2 isn't bad, but it's not good either. On a 4 star scale I'd give it 2 1/2. Halloween 2 may not have been anything to brag of, but it is a worthy sequel, and worth a look to any horror die-hard, not for the squeamish though.
This movie kicks ass. It keeps part one going. In fact, it is a little more scary as far as blood and gore goes. Great film
Halloween 2 starts off where Halloween 1 left off(literally). Most of the story takes place in a hospital that Laurie Strode is staying at.
