The film starts with Michael escaping the hospital again! How many times is he going to escape a hospital. This time he goes after his niece. Michael can wipeout a police station and a power plant, but can't kill a little girl? What's with that? ...The ending was ok. Read more Less

    the most fun Halloween

Halloween 4: the Return of Michael Myers (1988)Starring: Donald Pleasence, Ellie Cornell, Danielle Harris, Michael PatakiDirector: Dwight H. Little plot: The 4th installment of the Halloween series takes place ten years after the brutal events of Ha...lloweens' 1-2 (same night). Michael Myers is being transferred from Richmond Mental Institute to Smith's Grove, when suddenly he awakens from his coma and kills everyone in the van. The Shape makes his way back in Haddonfield, and it becomes obvious that his next target is his young niece, Jamie Loyd. Michael will kill anyone that stands in his way. review: The fourth and most fun Halloween starts with some eerie music and dark images of Haddonfield, Illinois. It takes place exactly 10 years after what happened in 1978, the story is about Michael Myers and not some silly masks like Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. While it might not live up to Halloween and Halloween 2, the Return of Michael Myers is a very good sequel and addition to the series. Dwight E. Little does a tremendous job of directing imo, of capturing enough suspense and logic in one movie, like the first had. Little might of surpassed Rosenthal's directing from the 2nd installment too, because Rosenthal had the benifit of having Carpenter reshooting a large portion of the film. No one in Haddonfield has seen Michael in ten years and oddly enough the night before Halloween they decide to transport his body while still in a coma. A coma for ten years?!... Well that's what I was thinking, but Michael awakes and escapes unharmed to a gas station where he finds a jumpsuit and a white mask- replica of the original's but not exactly the same. The Shape heads to Haddonfield in search of Jamie Loyd, and refuses to stop until he kills the little girl. The movie has some minor flaws like if there is no electricity anywhere why is there any in the Sheriff's house? The appearance and acting in this film by George Wilbur as the Shape is superb imo, he had everything down and the mask looked like a ghost itself! Michael eventually is hit by a truck, and falls deep into a mine shaft after a group of highway-patrol officers shoot him. Halloween 4 is a good installment to the series, and is a classic 80's slasher. If you want a fun and entertaining horror film Halloween 4 is a nice selecton. overall rating: 8/10 Read more Less

Michael Myers returns with a whimper

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 1, 2002

Let's just forget for a moment that both Michael Myers and Dr. Loomis were blown to smithereens at the conclusion of Halloween II and give this movie the suspension of our disbelief. Even with that in mind, Halloween 4 is as lame, predictable and cl...iched as any other slasher pic you can think of. While being transported from one hospital to another, Michael escapes, acquires his signature mechanic's jumper and "Shape" mask in a local hardware store and sets out to find and kill his previously unmentioned little cousin. Lots of monotonous stalking, plenty of ranting from a haggard looking Donald Pleasanse, but little suspense and less logic. Some critics actually enjoyed this one, but, other than the fact that it isn't as bad as Halloween 5 or 6, I have no idea why. Skip it. Read more Less

i am a huge fan of halloween.jamie lee made the movies.she wasn't in this one.as she was not in 5-6.but this is the only one that i thought was really good.it captured the spirit of the first two films, which i didn't feel in 5-6.donald pleasance did ...a great job in reprisig his role as dr loomis.if you ask me(with the exception of h20)they could have stopped making them after this one.don,t get me wrong,5&6 were good, but they they couldn't hold a candle to this one. Michael's back...let the good times roll

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 28, 2001

The title says it all: he's baaaack! And it's good fun as he hunts down his niece Jamie (Danielle Harris) and disposes all opposition. But Dr. Loomis is still around as the bounty hunter, and he follows Michael's grisly path all the way to Haddonfiel...d. Harris picks up the trauma factor this time (no Jamie Lee yet) and Donald Pleasance still deserves credit for his veteran skills and believability as Dr. Loomis. A great little scare flick that just plain rocks! Read more Less
