Possibly the best game ever and without a doubt the best first person shooter ever Half-Life is a must have game. With a story line not unlike that of a Stephen King book Half-Life keeps the player indulged and always wondering whats next. The game's... controls may be a bit hard at first but they are learnable (though fans of he PC version may have a hard time parting with WASD). The sound eerily fits in place be it an adreniline pumping track while on the run of military grunts, or a suspenseful tune making rounding that corner all the more exciting. The graphics have recicevied a major facelift from the PC version they are crisp and clean. the polygon counts are still low but the detailed textures make up for it. As for replay value the expansion pack of Opposing Force( playing as one of the military soldiers.) and Blue Shift ( playing as a security guard) will have you playing in memorable places and discovering new ones that much longer. I hear later a multiplayer cd will be available to play Half-Life online, and from PC experiences and learing about the Playstation 2's hardrive you will be able to download player made modifications online and will almost have unlimited gaming time. So if your looking for a game that for more than almost 4 years is still a fun game and strong seller Half-Life is the game for you. Read more Less
