Half-Life: Counterstrike is a modification for the classic first-person shooter, Half-Life. Because Counterstrike began as a user modification, it was developed and play-tested by thousands of fans before it was actually released commercially as an official Half-Life update. The Half-Life: Counterstrike mod alters the multiplayer capabilities of Half-Life to make the game more team-oriented. Up to twenty players are able to compete as terrorist and anti-terrorist squads in this chapter of the continuing Half-Life story.

As the team aspect of the game is so important, Half-Life: Counterstrike should be primarily considered for its multiplayer features. Players need to work together to accomplish mission goals like rescuing hostages, assassinating a target, or simply escaping an enemy counter-attack.     It's the best game, yes! Almost 7,000 servers everyday running and everyone plays on those games... Well there some cheaters down there but we got a program to block them out.. The only few requirement to play that game such as enjoyable is that you ...need to have a high speed internet like 256k or above and big amount of RAM like 256ram above (I have 512ram its damned smooth) and the Video Card of course 16mb above ( i have 64 ram ) I use my laptop DELL Inpsiration 8100 1ghz 512 ram 64mb Randon 7500 moblie but you need to download the program to support CS to read the ATI video card and you could find it on www.Counter-strike.net and review the game...The problem with CS with my laptop is the Resolution that cs cant fit the 1600x840 but just a square of 1024X640 out of 1600x840 still better than nothing! Positive is that i can carry anywhere and play the lan parties!!! Read more Less

    If u like first perosn shooting u will love tis realistic and real guns game. It is about counter-terriost and terriost killing each other and u can plant bombs or rescue hostages. They are different maps u can play in. BUY IT!!!! U NEED A GOOD INTER...NET CONNECTION AND AT LEAST A 490 MHZ Computer if u dun want LAG! Read more Less
