Pros: Remote Control, Plenty of Cooling Power

Cons: LOUD, LOUD, LOUD

We were excited to get this a/c since we got a great deal on the price at Walmart. It is rather heavy so my husband needed a friend to help him carry it up the one flight of stairs to our condo. The window kit works OK, but the screws weren't the... right size and we actually bought a piece of plexiglas to extend/modify the window panel to fit our 56" H, sliding bedroom window. The remote control is a nice feature and overall the product is of a very high quality. Unfortunately, this a/c is SO LOUD we could not use it to cool our bedroom at night while we slept. The compressor came on every 10 minutes and we were only trying to keep the room cooled to 78 degrees. After about 3 hours of trying to ignore the LOUD NOISE it made, we finally turned it to "fan only" mode for about 1/2 hour and then we just turned it completely OFF. We are disappointed, but for those who are either heavy sleepers or who just want to use to for cooling a room where no one is trying to sleep, it would be fine. It does put out very cool air.
