    Pros: An amazing amount of features

    Cons: short battery life

    I was in the market for a smartphone/pda phone - switching from a regular cell phone. I had narrowed it down to a Blackjack, iPhone, or Blackberry. I was particularly interested in something that ran Windows Mobile. Since I do a lot of work on Office..., I was particularly interested in something that allowed me to view, edit and create Word and Excel docs. I found that you needed to have Windows Mobile 6.0 to truly have this function. When I researched the phones that were 6.0 compatible, the Tilt really stood out as being ahead of the curve. I read a number of reviews about it and all of them raved about its quality. While the battery life is a little short, I have learned how to manage the power settings, and am now getting acceptable performance. My largest concern, however, was the quality of reception. I had a Samsung A707 (Sync) in which I could get great reception, even in elevators in large buildings. This device even blows that away. The ease of obtaining and working with my work e-mails is second to none. I had a family emergency w/in a week of getting the phone and spent a number of hours in a hospital lobby/room. I was able to get an amazing amount of work done during that time. This is truly a top competitor for the iPhone for the business minded consumer. Read more Less

    The Tilt could be number one

    Pros: Slider keyboard, on screen menu, wi-fi, 3 megapixel camera

    Cons: some menus confusing

    Note- after working for ATT for 18 years (I am retired for those of the conspiracy theory!,) no phone yet can get my five star rating. This phone comes awful close. There is not much that this phone does not do. The only thing that I can't get it... to do is take a downloaded song, and make a ringtone out of it. The camera is awesome. Don't purchase mobi or ctv; get a slingbox for your home, then pay the extra 30 dollars for the mobile download. You will save (you still must have 39.99 unlimited internet plan) 20 to 40 dollars a month over the internet plan, as slingbox does not have any monthly fees. The backround light when the phone feature is being used, can't be adjusted; it goes out too quick, but can be re-lit hitting the power button. It does come with a stylus for most functions, but it does have a great track wheel that takes care of most of the functions- it's kind of hard to be on the phone, and need to use a stylus.     Pros: Built in GPS, Bluetooth, Internet

    Cons: No flash for the camera and the battery

    I love my phone...but let me get the Cons out of the way first so I can talk about all the good. The battery does die quick during a somewhat long conversation but it will usually last me all day if I'm only texting or using apps on the phone. Th...e response of the phone is a little slow when typing up a text/email and for screen taps-but I heard there is a fix in place for that, I have yet to sit down and upgrade my ROM--LOL. I do wish there was a flash on the camera so I could take pics in low light since I rarely have my digital camera on me. Enough of that, now lets get into the Pros...it allows for download of additional apps for internet browsing like Opera if you don't want to use the built in IE. The built in GPS is great if you have an application that uses GPS for maps like the MSN Live Search or Yahoo 2 GO, using those programs help you avoid having to pay for a navigation program by itself. You can't watch YouTube videos but you can watch videos from other sites like VTap and of course AT&T Videos...and if you're tech savvy you can customize the phone to your liking. The good thing about the Tilt is that although you need the stylus for a lot you can still operate the phone without it by using the tip of your nail or whatever is around...unlike the iPhone where you have to use your fingertip no matter what. I know so many people with this phone, my fiancee has one, a few of my co-workers and one of my best friends and we all love it. I recommend this phone to anyone looking for a good PDA.     Pros: A Awesome PDA

    Cons: No YouTube play

    I have the Tilt which is really a awesome PDA.. Its a little more complicated than the Blackberry Curve 8300 we have here too.. As the Curve is more user friendly.. Depends how savy you are.. The touch screen is awesome, Very quick on the edge networ...k, cannnot wait till we go too Milwaukee as they have 3G there!! :) It has Wi-Fi, also GPS.. And you can down load Google Maps but it has no voice commands. The Telnav GPS which is only $9.99 a month is awesome.. Take your time too get familiar with it as there are so many options.. Get a 2gb card for your music..Easy too download your CD's into it from your computer ..I have about 500 in it now.. Only thing right now you cannot load youtube.. as there is supposed too be a upgrade for it soon from HTC?? But you can go too Tinytube.net, not as good as youtube do too its format, but the quality was good for the few Ive looked at.. and the Tilt screen is awesome and the keyboard is very easy...They did a great job..     Pros: Like a mini computer in your pocket

    Cons: Have to dial with stylus, needs special head phones

    I got the phone for like $100 when AT&T was having a after Christmas blow out. So right off I am happy. This phone is very powerful and with a little time you will get this unit humming as mini version of you desk top. It has so many features. This... is a business phone with excel, word, and power point and tons of other desk top funtions. If you are in between appointments you can be working on proposals, sending them in emails and searching the web at the coffee shop on your phone! Then get on the navigation system (on this phone) and be on time to your appt. Have not tried the iphone for extended time. I love Apple products and sure its good but its more for music, pictures and personal stuff. The tilt is more professional oriented but still has all that in a windows not mac style. (Plus I got this for C-note) It also kills the Treo, no questions. Weakness' are that the phone is kind of a pain to dial. The virtual key pad me requires to use the stlyus. You can open the key board and lock shift but thats just too much. I just use the stylus. The screen is bright and turns off fast which I think you can adjust just haven't done it yet. The email is good not great. You have to set it up to the way you like it in how much you want it to open upon reciept or you have to get into the email and tap open email then hit send and recieve. It does this to save space. So buy a memory card asap. I liked blackberry system better for email, it was simple and fast with the way it pushes email. The bummer that you can not use regular head phones sucks and you have to get a special kind with a plug that you either have the charger or head phones in is a weakness. People complained about the battery life. I found that if you set the email up to only check once every hour or two (depends how bad you obsess on it) your battery will last all day. Like I said for a phone it is awesome what it will do for a smart phone. If you like to have it all this phone delivers. It is a definite competitor of top phones today.     Pros: Does everything!!!

    This phone gives you everything you want plus more. The active sync to my home computer is great. with an sd card you can add more memory then you know what to with. using the touch screen on the main page is tricky to to the small sections to select.... The battery is the worst thing about this phone. i need to recharge it every 30 hours (completely dead.)This a true PDA and phone. ATT offers blazzing fast 3G internet. Its the matter of seconds to downlaod a page compared to regular phones that take minutes. The key board is easy to fuction and well laid out (keys are perfect size). the on screen keyboard is touchy but you can inlarge the button size which is good using the stylus. It has MS Word, Power Point, and Outlook. The camera is good could be better. th 10X zoom only works on the lowest resolution which is less the 1 megapixel. But at 3MP it takes great pics. Could use a flash. Windows media player is cool. allows more functionality compared to most phones. If you do a lot of road business this phone can act as a modem for wireless internet. Um thats GENIUS! although its at dial up speed it still useful and a cool feature. This phone for the price does more then almost any phone on the market. The iPhone is a MP3 player that makes calls and browses the web. The HTC Tilt for ATT does it all!!! Read more Less

    Pros: For this type of device, and what it takes to pack all this technology what could be a valid complaint?...it's all pros, far as I'm concerned!

    Cons: By now we sure don't need my telling you that battery leaves much to be desired

    Listen, I must start by getting this off my chest: For all those folks who would make a complaint about weight/size/girth...what gives with you?! I mean, seriously. Do you know of ANY device out there with near this many features and/or options, that... is that much more compact than this?...you'd have to show me the device to make me a believer, and if you found a device as thin and feathery as the Blackberry that still had all this in it, I'm not at all sure I'd be comfortable buying it, as it'd almost have to be sacrificing build-quality to get it there. So, I think bulky/heavy is at best reaching and splitting hairs...try putting a ratchet-clip on your laptop and pack it around on you hip for a day and then complain that this puppy is cumbersome! As this is about as close as you're gonna get, currently, to having that prized laptop in your pocket, and oh, we can make calls from it as well...now isn't that just dandy!? Yes, the battery just plain sucks, but again, imagine the whiners had they doubled the size of that battery!!! (All considered, would still have been fine by me!) This is one very solid device that is well thought-out (Even if not perfect) and should be a dream for most of us that made it through the seventies with our faculties intact. Moreover, anyone born after about 1975 who struggles with this device for more than a week or two, well, you obviously had no business, nor a probable need, in buying a device such as this to make a complaint about in the first place, IMHO. If you've been around PDAs and/or "Smart-Phones" at all, then you'd almost have to appreciate this things potential and build quality. (Even if the speaker on the speaker-phone sucks at least as bad as the battery...still not enough to knock it from five stars, far as I'm concerned...BUY IT, or buy a V3 if cutsie-thin is what you're into!     Pros: Fast, great keyboard, too many others to list

    Cons: Not sure about the battery yet. Syncing may be a problem

    I have had this phone for 4 days now. It is a major upgrade, coming from a Razr 3. And I loved that phone. But this Tilt is really awesome. It is taking me a while to learn all of the features it has. But day by day I find more and more things it can... do. A true smart phone, it is smarter than me. (So far). It connects to the internet quickly. Various things, such as email and IM programs are easy to set up and use. Text messaging is a breeze and using voice dial, or speed dial, albeit with a short learning curve, is easy too. I am having a problem syncing my phone to my computer. The software loaded quickly and cleanly. When I connect the device the software see's it and begins ActiveSync. However, nothing else seems to happen. Three different times I have tried, and nothing seems to move over. I can, however, easily copy Word or Excel files to my phone and they work well. Gotta love this phone a ton. Read more Less

    Cons: not best service, slow at times

    This phone is like a mini-computer. The keyboard is comfortable and easy to use. Howvever, when sliding the phone open, the screen takes a while to recooperate and the service isn't too reliable. The price is pretty much worth it.

    Pros: Voice Command compatible, Touch screen, Bluetooth, GPS, WIFI, 3G and 3mp cam and recorder

    Cons: Battery life - short

    Do i need to say more. OK I will, well if you install MS Voice Command it turns into your own personal assistant! So its hands free to access all your programs.
