    Where to begin ?Bought myself the Palm 505C (color Palm)...comes with 8MB of memory and color. Used to have a Palm V (lost in some resort!) and just wanted color this time.I was very happy until one day I saw the screen and speed on a Compaq iPaq H36...70 walking by a Radio Shack store. It was unbelievable (I just had to have one!) so I bought one.I'll tell you...64MB of RAM, great color, and that SPEED! sounded appealing (full interoperability with Outlook sounds like a plus!); but like all electronic products these days, they just leave you wanting more.Pros: Great speed, lots of Memory(3670), unbelievable Color, great sound, good interoperability with Office (word, excel)Cons: Too big (bigger and heavier than the Palm), All programs hog memory like the devil (so 64MB in an iPaq is about the same as 8MB in the Palm - this no one will tell you until you buy it!), missing business-practical features (growing pains the Palm already went through I guess). BATTERY LIFE REAKS (about 2 hours!)...compare that with 1 WEEK for the Color Palm 505...and 2 WEEKS for the Palm V. If you want to add more memory or battery life or a modem or anything, the machine just gets even bigger (physical add-ons to add peripherals). Need special software to transfer data between your friends' PALMs or Handsprings (everyone seems to have one) and your fancy iPaq.If you want something to play games - this is your unit!If you want something for games and business, well, really try one on, it will really depend on your real use of the unit (I use the meeting reminders, Address Book/Contacts, and many games to pass the time between meetings and at traffic lights!)You might want to know, I'm not trading mine for now because of the color screen and the fact that it has a more 'executive' look than the Palm (the Palm looks like a toy next to this machine when you get to a meeting). Palm should come out with a faster(10x), better-color, smaller size, and longer battery-life unit than the iPaq...then I'll dump this one in the trash! I'm waiting... Read more Less

    the extra RAM is worth it, especially with the growing number of apps being written out there. The 3670 is worth a serious look versus 3630-50's. If you wait for another coupleo f months, the price might come down. At thispoint, as usual, there is a ...waiting list. I got mine directly from compaq and it took 30 days in the queue.
