Basically, it's not a bad laptop. It works fine and does everything I need it to do. But there are a few things about this notebook that are very irritating. First, the palm rest and trackpad are finished in a flat black material. As soon as yo...u start using the laptop, these surfaces pickup grease from your fingers and mar the surface which cannot be restored using any of the common cleaning methods. It really make the machine look dirty implies you are sloppy. Second, the machine comes with a ton of unwanted software - trials, utilities and other useless junk. At the first boot, the machine begins installing these without asking your permission. You have to wait for 45 minutes for this to complete. Then I spent almost 2 hours uninstalling all this junk. Third, the screen ratio is weird. Mine is a 15.6". It is very low in height but overly wide. It makes your eyes work harder by having to track all that distance back and forth. The mouse also tires your fingers because you have so much space to travel from one side of the screen to the other. This machine left me wondering what the HP designers were thinking when they made this machine. Instead of using tried and true designs, it seems manufacturers are constantly trying to come up with something new, regardless of whether it will benefit the user or not. Read more Less
