Great Camera - if....
Pros: Took fantastic pictures & easy to use
Cons: quit working after 18 months & support is non-existent
I shopped for over a year and thought this camera had all the quality and features I wanted. I took about 500 fantastic pictures and was very pleased.
Then, after owning it 18 months and 1 day, the camera quit working (shut itself off everytime I pressed the shutter button to take a picture). HP support is a joke - they are only trying to sell you a new 'reconditioned' camera at highway robbery prices. Spent over 5 hours with on-line tech support and on the phone with their 'extended care' unit. They blamed me for not purchasing the extended warranty.
If you don't mind paying over $400 for a disposable camera, it's a fantastic camera! Otherwise, purchase the extended warranty - for $40 more they would have replaced it free of charge. Instead, I had to pay over $150 to get a new 'reconditioned' camera.Was this review helpful? Yes - Nogreat camera!

nice and seamless with my apple iphoto - the macro function is awesome for close flower shots - timer function is ez; w/no experience its a great first camera - you wont be disappointed.

Cons: recovery lag, zoom is somewhat noisy
I've owned this camera for a few weeks, now, and I am becoming more pleased with each use. The bottom line is, it just takes better pictures than most. Colors are true, definition is crisp, and, the zoom is fantastic.
