    HP Hardware is lacking - very fragile

    Pros: appearance

    Cons: lifespan, thermal problem, video card, battery

    My DV 9000 series died at age 11 months, and HP wouldn't cover the warranty, because I don't have time to ship back to the US for service within the 1 yr warranty window. They will not honor warranty outside the US. It has a MAJOR thermal pro...blem, causing the computer to shut down often, related to the video card, and eventually destroys the mother board. I have heard from repair tech's, that most of these are dead in the 13th month....so buyer beware. HP has some very serious issues with quality at the moment...and I wouldn't trust Compaq either (their other brand). Never again will I purchase an HP. Read more Less
