Pros: the screen is huge for a laptop and the picture is fabulous. it handles all of my computer needs with no problem. the little extras are especially cool.

Cons: none. so far, i'm loving this notebook.

i got my hp dv9410us about a month ago. it was on sale at staples for $799 and i got a $50 mail-in rebate, so technically i got it for $749. this was an awesome deal! i love the integrated webcam and microphone. the screen size and picture quality a...re phenomenal. i love the dvd burner and especially love the lightscribe laser-disk-labeler that was included. it's great that i can take the xd card out of my camera and slip it right into the computer itself - the pics load so incredibly fast compared to when i use the doc or usb cable. the storage space is great. i've downloaded tons of music and other media and i'm only at 91% usage. i'm not a gamer, so i'm not sure how this machine would perform for that... probably not that bad though. one feature that i found super cool was the remote control - perfect for media palying, etc... lastly, as i need to stop rambling, this machine is made to be as energy efficient as possible; it does a good job. if you close the notebook while you're up and running, it simply goes on stand-by and consumes practically no energy doing so. also, this is my first time eperiencing vista, and i love it. hp's quickplay software is great for recording video and video editing. you can do way more with quickplay, but that's all i've used it for so far. i'm an amateur photographer and dabble a good bit in graphic design and such, this machine quickly handles all of my imaging software with no second thoughts. oh!! and the altec lansing speaker system is wonderful, considering it's integrated into a notebook. the sound quality is fabulous and it cranks up some kind of loud without even slightly jeopardizing quality. i don't have any problems or cons to list. i'm very satisfied with my purchase and i love my notebook!! ps - watching dvd's while riding down the road or hanging out on the porch is great with the screen!
