Lemon - bad quality

Cons: hardware, thermal, battery, motherboard
very poor quality, not to be trusted.
the lifespan is 11 to 13 months...and it is prolific
huge problems with thermal shutdown

Cons: Can not play Blue Ray,
I took my first machine back; does that tell you what I think about the dv7? I bought the laptop at Sam's Club. One of the features listed on the sales posting was that it could play blue ray DVDs. I bought a blue ray DVD to test it out (I also purchased MS Office). Well I could not play the DVD. After a long consultation with HP that ended with I should send the machine in for service. So the machine went back to Sam's Club. The second machine I only played regular DVDs, but it is sluggish. It would play then pause for a minute or two. And of course I receive the "We're sorry, this video is no longer available" for almost all of the online videos. Truly this is a buyer beware.
