Enjoy truly mobile computing without sacrificing productivity. Work and play wherever you go with the HP Pavilion tx1000 series Entertainment Notebook PC. HP's first ultra-portable Pavilion notebook provides a new "twist" on mobility with an optional touchscreen that can be turned 180° and flatten into a slate to capture hand-written notes and drawings. The tx1000 delivers the convergence of powerful mobile computing and digital entertainment with the latest mobile processors and exciting new QuickPlay features.

Mobility

Weighing in at less than 4 pounds, the HP Pavilion tx1000 Entertainment Notebook PC is designed for mobility. With its smooth, high-gloss coating and a unique inlaid pattern, the HP Imprint finish offers style and greater durability and improved scratch resistance compared to traditional painted surfaces. The screen swivels around for viewing in tight spaces - like your airline seat - and can be controlled with the included HP Mini Remote Control. You'll stay connected thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi, and with optional WWAN (available later this year), internet access can be available anywhere your cellular carrier's network exists.

Productivity

No matter how you look at it, the features of the HP Pavilion tx1000 Entertainment Notebook PC help improve productivity. Starting with the 12.1" touch screen, you'll enjoy multiple viewing angles. And you just fold the screen for convenient touch-enabled notepad features. Handle multiple applications seamlessly with the AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile processor, NVIDIA graphics and large hard drive. With the integrated 1.3 Mega-pixel webcam, and omnidirectional microphone you can send still photos and short video clips across the Internet. Enjoy easy access to your system and online accounts - plus protect your data with the optional built-in fingerprint reader.

Entertainment

Here¿s where all the fun begins. Listen to your music, watch a DVD or live TV, and browse pictures with HP QuickPlay's quick-launch buttons and media controls. Kick back with the convenience of the HP Mini Remote Control that is stored in the ExpressCard slot for convenience. Take in the sounds on the integrated panel speakers or plug into the dual headphone jacks.

    HP Customer support is terrible

By Matt  May 16, 2007 | 20 out of 23 found this HP Pavilion TX1110 review helpful

    Pros: nice machine

    Cons: dealing with HP

The computer is nice, lots of bells and whistles, but be prepared for lousy customer support. I sent my computer in to HP for a keyboard fix and it came back battered and with MORE problems than when I sent it out. Have tried for five weeks to get a ...keyboard out of the parts store, but nothing yet. Unbelievable maze of phone calls and guys in India with no information. For the price and lousy support, you're better off with a smaller brand name or generic. Sadly I'll probably buy a Mac next time after all of this crap. Read more Less

Needed something capable of a PhD

By Valerie  Jul 11, 2007 | 4 out of 5 found this HP Pavilion TX1110 review helpful

    Pros: Super light-weight

Cons: speakers are kind of quiet

This is the third HP laptop I've owned and I love it. I needed something that was much lighter than a 15.4" widescreen I had, and then this one came out. I snatched it up and have barely looked back. Except maybe back at my receipt...I wish ...I could have paid just a little less for this laptop, but it is considerably cheaper (by about 50-75%) than it's Toshiba and Sony counterparts. I love the webcam and fingerprint reader. I love how it comes with a 9 cell battery (although who wouldn't ask for a bigger battery anyway). I needed something that would allow me to have several large software programs open at one time while I work on my PhD, and this computer has been able to handle everything I've thrown at it. It has a very nice imprint finish, and is ultra-portable. The only thing I would ask for is louder speakers. All in all, I think it's a great buy. Read more Less

    HP Pavilion tx1110us Review

If the TX series was just a regular notebook with no rotating screen and a Tablet PC version, I would have been satisfied for just the way it was because I like small portable and powerful notebooks. Read more
