    Pros: Everything

Cons: If you want to print alot of photos, you have to buy alot of ink. It runs out pretty fast.

I love this printer. The software does take awhile to load, but the print quality and color is AWESOME!!!! if youre looking for a good photo printer and youre on a budget, I would highly recommend this printer. Although the ink does run out pretty fa...st, it is very good quality. you will be buying quite a few ink cartridges though. *If you have previous software to print photos, DO NOT USE IT!!!!! If you press the 'guy holding a frame' button on the printer, that will get you borderless 6x4 photos, previous software doesnt, it will mess it up.I would also recommend using photo paper with a GLOSSY finish. A good disposable inkjet; great photos

    Pros: Great value

Cons: Paper trays are clumsy; input tray is limited

The Deskjet D4160 is definitely worth a look if you don't want to spend too much for a basic home printer that prints pretty good photos. It's not perfect. I rated "ease of use" at midway because the printer software takes a while ...to install, and the semi-intuitive features are clumsy to set up. The paper trays are also typical HP: the input and output trays on top of each other in the front. This is a pain, limiting the amount of input paper, particularly if you use thicker kinds. I rated print quality "Loved it" with strong consideration of the price. Text is as sharp as from a laser printer, even on "fast normal" quality. Photo quality is very impressive when you think of how much you paid for it. Also, it can print truly borderless 8.5x11 prints, not just 4x6. Read more Less

    Pros: Price! Print Speed

Cons: Has suddenly stopped working on me before

Got this at Office Depot for $39.99. Works great, very fast, and at a really good price. I would definetely reccomend for someone looking for a good quality printer for a low price. I have had this printer suddenly stop working on me, it wouldnt resp...ond to anything even after resetting it and everything. After I went into the windows control panel and reset the print spooler it started working like a charm. Have also heard other customers tell me they have had similar problems with it and its successor the D4260. Read more Less

    WOW!

Pros: Speedy, Great Quality, cheap($70 at Best Buy)

    Cons: Ink sucker

This printer is much better than the old Espon before it. It works faster, is much less prone to breaking, and was cheaper. I bought at Best Buy, and it was the clear choice: it was cheaper than any other printer, their, and was recommended by the gu...y we talked too. It prints a 80 page book in 3 minutes, so we chose it. It was easy to set up, and is easy to configure. Plus, it works with Windows and Mac. The only reason not to get it is, when not on Fast Draft mode, it takes about 1/20th of the ink per print, and the ink cartridges cost $30 for both black and tri-color. But, otherwise this printer is awesome, so I recommend it. Read more Less

Pros: excellent value for the money

Cons: paper tray is a bit clumsy

I bought this printer on the basis of yahoo reviews and am very pleased. Very easy to connect to my mac and does what I need it to do. I just ditched an Epson C86 due to major ink jet clog problems and will NEVER buy another Epson product. HP just ma...de a very happy and loyal customer with this printer. It may be pretty basic but it is a great value. Read more Less

Your "Everyday" Easy To Use Printer

    By ladypro  Dec 13, 2006

    Pros: Price/Value

Cons: None That Applies To My Needs

Advertised for $79.99 in Dec. 06 at Best Buy...paid $59.99, thanks to a "Monte Hall", holiday happy sales associate. Listened to what I needed (refreshing), mostly text, and occasional photo use. Matched the need, out the door, and printing... once again within the hour. Easy to install, good quality text/photo...give it a try....expendable after its life of use. Read more Less
