    The first Guy release was a groundbreaking CD, full of fresh concepts and raw talent. Teddy Riley's abilities and Aaron Hall's range were the big reasons why this first CD was such a success. "Groove Me" and "Teddy's Jam" set the stage for years to... come. "I Like" was just an all around great jam. The best part about it is that this CD was probably a 4.7 out of 5 because it only got better with the release of "The Future" in 1990, a true 5.0. (Not to mention, they lost Gene Griffin, which let Teddy, Nasty Man, and Crazy Legs, do their own thing without restraint). Read more Less

    Pros: Great vocals and music

    Man, I remember dancing to this album w/ some Zodiacs and wearing a rayon pokkadot shirt. Oh and with my African medallion even tho I wasn't black. This is a classic R&B album w/ some cool slow jams.

    A Classic

    I remember listening to this album so much I wore the tape out so I had to buy another one! I now have the CD. This album is that good - good enough that I bought three albums. I can't explain how groups used to only put 9 or 10 songs on an album and... all of them be great. Buy this if it is not part of your collection. And buy two copies just in case!!! Read more Less

    This album changed the face of R&B

    The group's lead off single "Groove Me" turned the world of R&B music on its head.Teddy's creativity, genius and Aaron's wonderful vocal talent helped propel this group to the head of the pack.The music was way before its time.The music was fresh,fu...nky,and soul stirring.Production was tight and well put together.A true five star compilation.
