One of London's first hardcore rap groups, Gunshot came out of the East End in 1989, formed around the talents of MC Alkaline, MC Mercury, Barry Blue, and DJ White Child Rix. Early singles like "Battle Street Brawl" (for Vinyl Solution) sold surprisingly well, and their debut album, Patriot Games, appeared in 1993.
