its low budget and the voices are like in the old jackie chan movies (where even the people speaking english sound dubbed) but its worth watching. if u like the whole japanese robot thing, youll like this. the other review must have been written by an idiot who never saw the movie.

Let me tell you about old GUNHED.

If you liked Robocop you're gonna looove GUNHED. GUNHED stands for Giant Uninhibited Numbskull Holding & Electronic Device. I know it seems complicated but really the movie is suitable for anyone who has read every single book by Issac Asimov and spent their childhood studying binary language and geometry. GUNHED is bent on world domination becuase as an infant GUNHED was severely rebuked by his mother for being slightly queer and this made GUNHED very mad. After the mandatory apoocalypse of which most of these kind of movies are based. Chaos ensued and only the fittest survived, and of those fittest only those who dressed in jeans and leather outlived those who were only merely "the fittest". Many supermarkets were forced to close, either because they were simply destroyed by nuclear blasts and/or the fire that engulfed them after the initial detonations, or because of a lack of patronage due to the effects of the fallout which killed off a lot of their customers, plus some of the fresh produce was too expensive for some people to afford and even harder to actualy supply. GUNHED is seen at the start of the film aimlessly wandering around, you can sense from the dramatic music, that he is not very nice, and you start to feel a creeping kind of tension that makes your groin feel like there are bugs crawling all over it. By the end of the film it starts to get a little frustrating because GUNHED is a rather robotic character, and his personality is a little on the thin side, plus because almost everyone is dead, there isn't much for GUNHED to do but wander around chatting to the occasional drifter he meets, and making snide comments about his or her jeans / leather combination. The best scene is when GUNHED goes into a supermarket to buy some battereies and refuses to pay for them, you start to wonder what GUNHED is going to do, then the manager yells at him and GUNHED runs away. All in all, a haunting but rather dull movie, a bit like Robocop, but maybe not quite as satisfying. Still if you like counting sand, and making model Star Wars kits, then this movie could be for you.
