Why I like this game
Pros: Stunning graphics, awesome storyline, and you don't get bored easily
Cons: none that I can think of
For my 19th birthday my boyfriend bought me Guild Wars because it was something that him and his friends enjoyed doing. I was a little reluctant to try it because I don't play MMORPGs.....until now!!! When I installed it onto my laptop and began playing, I was hooked!!!
The only MMORPG that i have played besides Guild Wars was Last Chaos, and after playing this, i'm NEVER going back! The graphics are awesome, the game has a good storyline, and I haven't been bored with it yet. I would recommend this game to both the serious and casual gamer.Was this review helpful? I beta tested this game way back when, and loved it then. Now, I love it even more. There are lots of quests for you to do, creatures to fight, and people to meet. Best of all, its free to play, unlike most other MMORPG's.

In this game you are able to pick from a couple charectors, Warrior(W), Necromancer(N),Ranger(R), Mesmer(M), Elementalist(E), and Monk (Mo). After you pick your charector, desighn s/he, and pick name then you start playing. After you complete acouple extra missions you are able to pick your second class. Your second class doesnt really do much put give you that classes spells. There is main missions which get you farther in the game and farther through the story. Even though it has a long story it is still online(only).

Guild Wars is a Massive Multi-Player Online Role Playing Game or MMORPG. It is one of the few that you dont have to pay each month for, which is very convenient as it is one of the greatest games of all time.
Graphics 10/10
These are some of the greatest graphics I have ever seen! The cut-scenes and even the game play graphics always look great. In fact they are done so well that I had to turn the graphical quality down to get rid of some minor lag. You can see every individual blade of grass, which seems unnecessary but who cares! When you walk in the water it ripples perfectly which is beautiful! The weapons, armor, and shields have extraordinary detail.
Sound & Music 8/10
Now, I normally like the music in a game, but to date the music has been too low in volume. But what I heard really does set the mood for what you are going for.
Gameplay 10/10
You start off the game by picking which mode you want to do. There are two different modes. Story Mode and PvP Mode. Story mode basically takes you into the game and you learn everything about Guild Wars, find items, kill monsters, level your character, etc
The PvP Mode puts you right into the PvP portion of the game. You basically make your character right there and jump right into the game. The point of PvP Mode is strictly PvP. I personally haven't made a character for this yet, so I can't speak much for what you can actually do outside of PvP.
PvE is basically story mode, and you can still use your character in PvP arenas. However, if you make a PvP character it starts off at the max level 20, and can only PvP. Both modes are fun and PvP is great for when you get bored of PvE. You can also join or make guilds, thus the name guild wars, and guilds can compete amongst each other. Every guild has their own emblem, or cape each emblem is different from another guilds and it can have great detail, or be simple.

This is a great game and it is very difficult to write everything about it. You should indefinitely buy it. In fact, why are you still reading this!? Go buy it now!!!!! Its not like you have to pay each month. It is just one payment and you are good to go. You get 4 characters to play with and there is so much to do. If your computer doesnt meet the system requirements for the game then it is a good reason to upgrade your computer. There is no reason not to buy this unless you hate RPGs. This is what multi-player online games should be! AND there are NO monthly fees!
First design a character. Chose a primary (& later a secondary) profession from: Warrior, Necromancer, Monk, Mesmer, Elementalist & Ranger. Then explore a whole new world! The areas you travel show in detail on a topographic reference map. Cities and forts are the common areas where online players interact. Now chose a major mission or a challenging quest. As you leave the city you enter a customized countryside populated with appropriate foes and monsters. Now you have found a new town with trade, recreation (try the arena!), and role-play interaction.
A character can advance relatively quickly through the twenty levels of ability. However, there is more to this game than levels. Do you enjoy a good competition? Maybe you are ready for some player versus player trials. You can even try PvP with a brand new character, specially designed with 20th level abilities.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoGreat Game

Im just freakin amazed by what they put in this game! You can combine all these different characters with eachother like a monk with necromancer! It freakin rocks! The graphics beat anyother Game! This makes World of Warcraft look like Pacman!!! I completely recommmend this game!!!!!! :]

When I played the pre-version of the game I really enjoyed it...But it took so darn long for the release to come out that I lost interest; and went to playing WoW. I think I just might have to pick up a copy from Best Buy tomorrow.

U do alot of stuff fight animals do quests fight people in arena. u can join guilds buy a guild hall make guilds and capes to go with it also have guild battles against other guilds there just isnt a game like it.

I got this when I had Cable interent and it ran WONDERFUL! Now I have dial up, it still runs pretty well even connecting at 26.4 So I would say A++!

Pros: The awsome artwork and graphics make this one of the beast games this year!!!
Cons: You can only see other people inside of towns (exceptions for party/guild members) which is a blessing inside a curse.
An awsome game that has most great gamers drooling. It requires no monthly fee and you don't have to have a incredable computer to play it!!! (Want to get you kids somethin cool?)
