    Pros: Powerful,Diverse And Musically Dynamic

    Cons: Could've Easily Been A Double Album

    Can't argue there-George Duke is a musical genious.On 'Guardian Of The Light' he synthesizes orchestrated jazzy funk with electronic synthesizer grooves with amazing results.This is a concept album about a universal struggle for positive ...energy.Duke has a great singing voice here and "Silly Fightin'","
    Shane" and the instrumentals "Stand" and "Celebrate" he gets seriously funky and (on the first two) knows how to write a catchy tune!On "Light" and "Fly Away" he even brings to the front how similar fusion and art rock can be.Of course on "Born To Love You","Soon"
    ; and "You (Are The Light)" he tenderly swoons you with soul wrenching balladry."Oveture&qu
    ot; and "Reach Out" bring out that great Maurice White like vision of dynamic soul right up front and center.'Guardian Of The Light' has it all and all wonderfully done.One of George Duke's must have releases and a pefect example of how great music can sound!     Read more Less
