Roots & Influences
Formed in the small town of Control in the late '90s by ex-Duendes de Control Sergio and José Guadalupe Degollado, Mexican Grupo Control made its debut with the release of Cumbias Sin Control in 1999. It combined the Colombian Cumbia and traditional norteño style, featuring the hit singles "El Tao Tao" and "Cumbia Con La Luna." Fuera De Control followed in March 2001.
